Looks like she worked her self up enough that she overtaxed whatever issue she is having. I'm expecting the next chapter to involve a 'has anybody seen Emily' arc while she's in the hospital or something. And Emily being conflicted between hiding her condition and realizing that some people might care enough to come looking for her.
