New Fragile! Page 32.

So that's it...

Broken heart, indeed.

I think she's just an incorrigible drama queen. Was one from the first pages.

Metaphoric broken hearts usually don't leave physical scars.

She also needs a good honest talk with her parents.

Maybe she has Dick Cheney's heart. He wasn't using it.

No need to be gross. Or feed the lines requesting quotes from "Heart of a Dog", for that matter. :O3

Self pity can often result in lashing out at others. "I'm miserable, so all of should be too."

I'm expecting her long term character arc being a chance to get past that... But it will be a long trip...

I'm expecting her long term character arc being a chance to get past that... But it will be a long trip...[/quote] IMHO, both parts were fairly transparent from the start. Well, the latter is not the only option, but on the out-of-verse plot level it's most likely - if Emily wasted all her time on "not letting anyone else live either", that would be just too sad for Shouri's work.

Well, looks like she's being a bitch on purpose so she wouldn't have ties to anybody. Is that some sort of consideration toward others ? "I'm going to die, so best be alone so my passing won't make people sad" ?

Interesting insight. :-?

Yes, Em, you are cute. Very much so.

And, yes, those look like scars. :-s Though the main one above the sternum seems weirdly far up for the heart...

Or rather a justification. Because it's not like, for example, Emily could expect a randomly met waitress to find out about her eventual demise and weep and a clumsy attempt to get her fired is the only solution. Unless she's this self-absorbed.

I just did a Google image search for 'heart surgery scar women' and this seems to be consistant.

Well, from the pics on the webpage, the scar should go down between her breasts, maybe even deeper.

Wonder if she had a heart transplant! :-o That sure would make her... Fragile.

Anyway, now her posture crumbles, this particular game is over. Emily didn't have the heart to go all poisonous jackass on this guy.

This depends on what exactly was done, doesn't it?
