Re: Fragile: Chapter 04
It generally helps to have sorted out a band name, set list (fully rehearsed!) and costumes before your first gig!
I think Jess is so enamoured with the prospect of performing live she's overlooked those minor details...
I don't suppose Em knows anything about music, by any chance? She may be paranoid about the possibility of her life ending any minute, but giving her a project beyond being on the Committee (e.g. getting our hapless quartet of friends organised) might actually help her focus on something other than her own mortality.

Jess is far beyong the optimistic side, riding away on dellusion thinking they're ready, I think. ^^; Sounds like she's planning a completely improvised gig here. XD And Karen seems to have terminal stage fright. Not helping when you aim to be a musician.

Re: Fragile: Chapter 04
Karen is funny with her froth-on-mouth panic.
Em will be so scared on stage that she's going to forget about far-away possibilities like dying hours later and get concentrated on immediate challenges, like surviving the next minute.
She didn't overlook them. She just can't stop on anything specific for more than five minutes.mittfh wrote:It generally helps to have sorted out a band name, set list (fully rehearsed!) and costumes before your first gig!

It's the opposite. We're talking about a girl who freaks out from anything, especially those monstrous human things. Oh, and cameras. Remember what taking one photo, far away from behind did to her?.. what do you think a dozen of soapboxes flashing in her face from the audience may do?mittfh wrote: giving her a project beyond being on the Committee (e.g. getting our hapless quartet of friends organised) might actually help her focus on something other than her own mortality.

Karen's face (and grave intonation?) drains confidence from Jess.

Probably it's not exactly going for "thousand of cars and a million guitars"... but yeah, girls have fun.

Finally we'll "ear" them play and see how unready they are.

Re: Fragile: Chapter 04
One in particular would add an extra dose of irony if Em's in the audience... the one that was most notably covered with the quite bare instrumentation of a piano and a cello.Don Alexander wrote:This will all end in Tears for Fears Covers.
