Artemisia, XD. But instead of some engagement rings I'd prefer a Daft Punk helmet...
I'll start posting again next week! After spending a month in the States, I had to do some readjustments, and upgrades to my computer, I'm helping with the PTC layout updates... I had some unfinished business from my time off.

I'm just glad that you'll be starting back up again soon. I've missed both strips in my rotation.

Anyway, an actual question: When will we see some picture updates on the cast list. Many of them could be easily done since the characters have already shown up - especially Emily.
Also, wonderful to hear it will go on next week, I misssssed it!
Final question: I saw you have merged and moved the Otakon pics to "Gallery", but what of "*coff*" and the little comic where you missed your flight? I couldn't find them readily.

Around 2003, when I first got internet at my home (yes, yes, I know) I started to draw pixel dolls. I had created this 'catgirl' as a mascot for my website: purple hat, violet eyes, black hair... and named her Mitzy. She was Proto-Marian.
I really loved making pixel dolls, I was very prolific, probably made about a thousand of them! The weirdest color combos, the better. The earliest pixel dolls of the four friends was probably made in 2004. Emily didn't show up until a year later (and she had 4 braids). This is the oldest one I have online, but not the first one I did.
I was very attached to these character designs, so I thought of writing a comic around them. I started *trying* to write a story around mid-2007 if I recall correctly, but I could never come up with a goal, it was illogical and Emily had no reason to be. Originally it was named The Gang (huh) and it had fantasy elements, which they were more of a crutch rather than an actual part of the story. And I was never super confident about my [URL=http://shourimajo.deviantart.com/galler ... 6#/d17s3lq]art skills[/img]. I thought I would never be able to do this!
A while after I started collaborating on EC/MC, my art got better (just a little bit I guess), and Giz asked if I had any plans to do a comic that wasn't a 4 panel strip. I told her about this idea I had for a story about friends, and it sparked me to start working again on it. I knew I wanted a story about friendship, and contrasts. Unlike other stories I've "written", I never had a clear idea about this one. I did a looot of research, tweaked the characters, and wrote a rough story plot from beginning to end, before I started working on each individual chapter & page. So while the "concept" (char design, mostly) is quite old (2004?), the story as you're reading it right now is probably only a year old! (5th version, give or take
).
And that's how Equestria was made.
