Of course not. Neither of those leeches is a medical expert, but they've a need to justify their "life"style.

True, but it would be nice if someone had called Heather on it when she justified herself, especially since she'd been feeding on her pregnant mother.

I suppose it's technically true in the sense that eating a bag of chocolate chip cookies will make you feel better... temporary, but ultimate isn't very healthy.

As for the issue with her parents, the only person who really knew what was going on with that was Leonard and he was too busy being boinked(and thralled) to have much of a say in that. The readers certainly spoke up about the whole... incident.

I was mostly thinking about outside the strip, since it pretty much marked the VC's face-heel turn into Friendly Neighborhood Vampires. (I think i was the only one who mentioned it was dangerous feeding from a pregnant woman.) In-universe, although you might excuse the B-squad and Leonard for not remembering the limitations on blood donations, you'd expect him to have some health problems since I doubt Suki restrained herself for 12 weeks with a "walking blood bag". The Hartley's would probably comment on it after they were freed.

Doing the math, since the five cheerleaders seem to consume at least a pint a day, that would be a pool of 420 men or 560 women to be safe. Bakerstown must have a huge blood bank.

Charlaine Harris's Sookie Stackhouse (Southern Vampire) Series at least inspired Suki's name. NBC has a currently airing miniseries based on her Midnight, Texas series. Last week's episode, Lemuel, Unchained, had a visit from a nest of vampires. Perhaps to distinguish them from Southern Vampire/True Blood's version, they're definitely not Friendly Neighborhood Vampires.

That's not physics, it's math and biology. Also, it's not a fantasy comic, it's comedy-horror. It's already mentioned death by blood loss. Slowly wasting away is actually more in line with the traditional legends than being drained dry (see Dracula).

The news had a series of videos showing high school cheerleaders screaming in pain while being pushed into splits during practice. According to this article, "Lord said forcing athletes into painful stretching used to happen decades ago. But he said coaches are now required to learn safe stretching practices." Since Lori got her training decades ago and basically functioned as the coach when she was on the squad, do you think she did these kind of practices?
