I'm definitely looking forward to it. I do have a question, though. Is the world of PMS and VC connected at all to the world of Amazing Agent Luna / Jennifer and Dracula Everlasting?

There's nothing to say that they don't take place in the same universe. And we have done some minor in-joke type cameos related to Luna before. There were ufo catcher dolls of Luna in Aoi House... and you can see a cheerleading team with Nobel High's school crest in Vampire Cheerleaders.

This is pretty cool. I just discovered this series and have started reading it - I love the vamp with braces, and her trouble at trying to get a bite to eat (pun intended) from a guy too dumb to set a parking brake.

So, how long has this series been around?

We announced Vampire Cheerleaders and Paranormal Mystery Squad back in March 2010. But we've only been running it online since January 2011. Glad to hear you're enjoying it. ^_^

Oh, good; so it won't take that long for me to get caught-up on things. I'll probably have time to read the strip next week - wife going out of town, my (regular) job schedule is light, and I've got some writing to work on. So, when I want to kick back and relax, I'll come here and read!

Any major plot points/characters I should know about?

Vampire Cheerleaders and Paranormal Mystery Squad share the same universe, so don't be too surprised when you see characters pop up. ^_^

Okay, I am now officially "up to speed" on the series.

Very nice, I like the Vegas competition and can't wait to see what happens. I must say, I like that you do NOT have the vamps having the old tired cliches of no reflection, coffins etc. I did the same in the novel I wrote - kept it logical and reasonable. I didn't think of the idea of heavy-duty sunblock; my vamps use cloaks and sunglasses.

I have to say, that's the only weakness to these vamps: no eye protection. Also, I do find the glamouring power a bit of a weak plot point, but that's a minor point. Still, great series, and I look forward to seeing where things go - esp. the whole gorgon storyline.

I think it's better if Vampire have more than a bit of there raditional weaknesses, other wise how do you dectect them before it's to late and how do you stop them with out large calibur guns or similarly hard to conceal weapons? If the Cheer Vamps were just a little more like traditional/Hollywood Vampires Leonard wouldn't be there thrall or at least there he'd have more of a chance to get free of them and maybe help one or more of them (like Heather) find redemption or a partial cure.

Yes, I agree. If they have NO weaknesses, well, then, what's the point? That's why I like the introduction of the gorgon; I'm curious as to where that storyline is going.

Dinner, by the looks of it.
The crazy will bust loose. Either in the stories or on the forum. Or both at the same time.

Mad theory: Eulice is actually a retired succubus. This explains why she says DiDi Chastel looks like she did in her younger years. She maintains her current form because it allows her to get through her day without having to turn down sexual advances.

A busty redhead by decree of the Internet...? o.o;

Gotta say I came to read vampire cheerleaders expecting it to be so bad it's funny. I was sorely mistaken! The series is well drawn and kept interesting. I have read a lot of vampire lore and stories. I felt this series did an excellent job and it made me decide to read the other in universe comics.

That being said here is some commentary then some questions.
1) Heather sure did seem to do a 180 fast once she became a vamp.
2) Poor leonard I wanted to see more from him than becoming a thrall and look forward to seeing hunters.
3) The take on the gorgon was particularly creative.
4) I'd be excited to know more about the girls back stories.
5) Are you going to honor the old lore removing its head kills a vampire thing?
6) As much as these vampire get laid , What are the rules for dhampir in your world? [half breed vampire humans].
7) why have Gorgon eat flesh and particularly vampire flesh?
8) Why is lori so obviously unafraid of leonard , so certain hunters are a death sentence?

Well, Question 6 is partially answered by the existence of JC over in Paranormal Mystery Squad....
"Don't call me a dirty old man.... Cuz I'm not old... I'm of a fine vintage..."
"Get your mind out the gutter... you're crowding me."

I did have to get off the ground running in a flash, mainly due to there being a limited number of pages for book 1.

It's pretty common for vampires to go a little crazy after being turned, though, but it eventually evens out. (I also loosely based the plot of the first story (the homecoming arc) on the 70's teen sex comedy "The Cheerleaders"...but with vampires.)

You'll have to wait until book 3.

Kaze wrote:3) The take on the gorgon was particularly creative.

I wanted to avoid ladies with snake hair and the whole stone-turning aspect.

Kaze wrote:4) I'd be excited to know more about the girls back stories.

You might learn a few tidbits about Lori in book 3, but I don't have any plans to go into the rest of the girl's origins. It's one of those things that's better left up to the reader to fill in the blanks.

Kaze wrote:5) Are you going to honor the old lore removing its head kills a vampire thing?

You can kill pretty much anything by chopping off its head.
Though, Zombies...you pretty much need to get the brain. Don't want a bite-y head rolling around.

Kaze wrote:6) As much as these vampire get laid , What are the rules for dhampir in your world? [half breed vampire humans].

If you read the first Paranormal Mystery Squad arc, I have a part in there that mentions a vampire father.

Kaze wrote:7) why have Gorgon eat flesh and particularly vampire flesh?

It made for a fun, gory opening.

Oh, there are worse things to be afraid of than a high school nerd boy. >_>

Ok so I read through up to the current issue of PMS and Aoi house now to find out about question 6. Gotta say nice VC cameo in PMS (could have been Aoi house) at a party i could of sworn it looked like Zoe and Suki were there for a panel.

I really enjoyed both stories so far, I also really appreciate taking the time to answer my questions. I now see why lori is afraid of hunters PMS would have a hard fight but it would be bad for the girls.

After reading PMS its clear dhampirs do exist in universe. However PMS does bring up a few question as to how this interacts with VC. Garlic suppressed JCs vampire side. However Garlic Just gives the girls an upset stomach, is there a reason for this? Why don't the girls seek out the PTEM (PETM?) if they are so worried about hunters? Is it because they like being vampires with no rules and no oversight? Why are people afraid of monsters in VC yet have a Monsters rights group in PMS? DO the stories in universe take place nearby one another?

FInally is Aoiverse the real name for this universe?
