It's just a bunch of fun homage and parody. I'm sure if it were to be translated into another medium, those gags would get filtered/changed more, but for what it is--a fan service-y webcomic--it's not unusual to see those types of cosplay and references.sebv2 wrote:I have a few questions, how did you get away with using Samus Arans powered suit in Vampire cheerleaders must die?
Plus there were also cameos of several video game characters in the Aoi house lost chapter at the end of the book. Not that Im complaining, I love seeing little references like that in comics and manga.
Im just curious on how stuff like that can be pulled off.

Re: Vampire Cheerleaders Talk
I wonder... what happen's to one of Lori's kind when they die then?
Do they get their souls automatically damned by becoming a vampire and therefore a one way ticket to Hell?
Or do they go somewhere to be judged then?
Or do they simply cease to exist, the no souls option?
Or do they go to Heaven, Heather was a church girl after all?

Parody comes under fair use anyway,Adam Arnold wrote:It's just a bunch of fun homage and parody. Heh, forgot the classics.
But if Marie Delacroix enlisted on the humanity's first FTL ship, why not Admiral Lori, indeed?

Hey Adam, any chance the Trio (Katie, Leny, Suki) can drop in on Artemis Academy before their traveling adventure is done?

I just realized that all three protagonists of 'Eerie Cuties', 'Magick Chicks', and 'Paranormal Mystery Squad' have either turned out to have royal lineage, or has become royalty. Layla and Stephanie are both queens, while Melissa is a princess.
I'm pretty sure that was coincidence, rather than planned collaborately by Adam, Giz, and Dave. But that's still pretty neat how it turned out that way.

Re: Vampire Cheerleaders Talk
ok, gonna post how I'd end this battle between the Moths and Reptilians (totally me being fanciful, I'm sure Adam has something better written):
I'd have the battle turn agianst the Moths, and just before theyr'e defeated, Admiral Thurston arrives with her ship and destroys the Pyramid, while General Delacroix lands with her groundtroops to mop up the rest.
Ok, I'm weird.

DECEMBER 11, 2014
The Vampire Cheerleaders/Paranormal Mystery Squad saga is now barreling towards its finale. Adam's finished the script (give or take a couple of tweaks to the epilogue) and is currently working on various extras for the print edition. All the while, Michael's trying to not go insane from all the wild stuff he to draw page in and page out. So when does it all wrap up online? The last week of January 2015. Mark your calendars!

That makes two of us. I'll admit I was hesitant to follow the series, for years, because of all the hate I saw for the cheerleaders, during forum discussion. Then when I finally decided to see for myself, it's right as it's almost over. So I kinda feel like I missed it.shelfer wrote:admittedly, after two volumes, 380+ pages and almost 3 years, I'm going to be a little sad.
That said, while I wasn't that big on Lori and her crew, the PMS gang grew on me in no time. I liked their stories and following them on their adventures. I'm gonna miss those guys and the series.

Granted, I'm late to the game, as usual, but are there any plans for after.Gotoh wrote:Adam Arnold wrote:DECEMBER 11, 2014

Or is this the complete and final end.
Regardless, I would like to thank Adam, Shiei, and Micheal for their continued contributions to the elimination of our otherwise banal existences.
Thank you!

Re: Vampire Cheerleaders Talk
Once Vampire Cheerleaders wraps, I'm going to do more of what I already do now--which is overseeing editorial and production work for Seven Seas' line of manga.Just out of curiosity, once VC/PMS is all wrapped up (including the final volume of the dead tree version), will you have any other webcomics on the go (I know you're not planning on starting a new one, but I'm not sure what [if any] others you're currently involved with), are you planning to concentrate on the manga / light novel arm of the business, or haven't you decided yet?
I do have more stories to tell in the Vampire Cheerleaders Universe, so there's always a chance I might get to revisit it down the line. But for now, yes, this is the big wrap-up.Granted, I'm late to the game, as usual, but are there any plans for after.

You're very welcome. ^_^Regardless, I would like to thank Adam, Shiei, and Micheal for their continued contributions to the elimination of our otherwise banal existences.
