That had to be one helluva kick, considering the end of the gearshift was a rounded knob (either that, or Candice was heavier than she looked). I'm not sure which would be worse: having a blunt object shoved through her body, or being yanked through broken glass while still impaled on said object. So it's a good thing that she was unconscious at the time.

I'm guessing since Frank doesn't know she's a vampire, that he'll assume he's saving her by grafting replacement parts onto her body... rather than do the sensible thing and take her to the hospital (i.e. mad scientist logic).

Wait so if Frank removed her heart shouldn't that have killed Candice?

@Tython: Not necessarily, since normal people have survived heart transplants. Assuming Frank's surgical skills are anything like a licensed professional's, giving Candice a new heart should be well within his capability.

That said, I'm not surprised by her reaction.

Granted but given that Candice is a vampire and usually the destruction or removal of the heart results in the death of the vampire kind of makes me wonder a bit on what has now happened to Candice because I get the feeling that she no longer has her fangs that or Justine is about to come in and restrain her.

...I think you posted the pilot script and the "bible" in the wrong order. Nearly everything in the script is in the profiles, the reverse isn't true.
