Since you're insisting on arguing this point, show me where the mothmen have done that to Steph.
We still don't know why Steph is helping the Mothmen. @Osaru Sensei and me both said that she looks brainwashed; we don't have to prove a thing because we are just saying that is a plausible explanation of her behaviour, we aren't claiming that we know that she's brainwashed for sure.

It is you who insists that she can't be brainwashed, so you should prove your claim.

You mean, like this? Or would you prefer this method?
Well, first, that's not brainwashing, but hypnotism and memory wiping/rewritting. Real world destructive sects don't use magic or hypnotism to brainwash people.

Second, Mel wasn't aware that her mind was being manipulated until released, so I fail to see how those panels contradict what I said (that victims of destructive sects who are brainwashed aren't aware of having been brainwashed).

When? In what scene? :-\

How is it plausible, if there's no evidence of it happening?

Which is overlooking two things: 1.) we're not discussing the real world. 2.) there's more than one way to brainwash someone, especially in fiction.

There's a reason tropes like 'mind control eyes' and 'brainwashed and crazy' exist. Steph hasn't shown signs of either one, or anything else implying the mothmen have done anything other than breed with her.

Did it ever occur to you that she might've consented because she sympathized with them, since they appear to be dying out? The mothmen may have told her about their plight during the time she said she resisted. Which might be what caused her to have a change of heart and agree to help them repopulate (hence "Queenly duty"). Given the circumstances and what we've seen so far, that seems far more plausible than them brainwashing her.

Oh, gods. another Gotoh thread......
Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.
