Ok, how the eff are the bugs real? They're made up creatures from a movie. And don't go giving me some "they're just aliens" BS, those things look exactly like the bugs from the movie.

Question is, who, or what, is wearing the power armour.

Hah! We can only dream...

This becomes a VERY different story if the Astartes somehow make an appearance.

Hmm. And Starship Troopers would have been a much shorter, more brutal movie, too. Now I want to see that...

The Starship Troopers novel (which is the ONLY thing which bears the name Starship Troopers: THERE IS NO MOVIE X( ) was the origin of the modern concept of powered armor. People saw what Heinlein wrote, thought "whoa, a suit of armor that can do all this amazing stuff, why didn't I think of that sooner?" and started yoinking it right and left for sci-fi military settings.

Is that a mugwump in the first panel? o_0;

I found the end of the first Starship Troopers movie to be downright chilling. It made the whole event that had gone before look like a dramatized recruitment film. Pretty meta, I know, which is sort of entertaining, but horrifying nonetheless to think that in-setting, all those events were just meant to draw more meat into the grinder...

She is indeed a wonderful artist who could doubtless turn her hand to anything, but from what I've seen, I don't get the feeling that she's very interested in depicting some of those bits in all their wrinkly Lovecraftian glory.
