Those are all ultra-rare comics that were either pre-war or released during the war.
Action Comics #1 (June 1938) - Superman debut.
Detective Comics #27 (May 1939) - Batman debut.
Whiz Comics#2 (Feb 1940) - Captain Marvel Debut.
Captain America#1 ( cover-dated March 1941 and on sale December 20, 1940) Debut of Cap America.
So I can understand his excitement - surprised he turned in to a thief though. Thought his morals were stronger than that.

You travel through time and see a stockpile of Golden Age number ones, it would actually be more unethical NOT to steal them. Because, shut up that's why.

Good thing he found those comic books. A sports almanac would have been totally useless.

He's not stealing. They were put out to be recycled.
It's time to prove to your friends that you're worth a damn. Sometimes that means dying; sometimes that means killing a whole lot of people.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME! OF COURSE HE"S TAKING THOSE! Screw the war effort, we're talking GOLDEN AGE COMICS here! To leave those to be pulped is a CRIMINAL ACT!

How is it stealing to take something that has been essentially tossed out to be used for the war effort? Those poor comics were going to end up being pulped and turned back into paper. Len has saved them from a terrible fate and I highly doubt he'd sell those. The sheer joy of owning a copy would outweigh the monetary value in his mind. However, if he nabbed two issues of each of those soon to be rare titles...
Now, food for thought- the reason those comics are so valuable is that there are so few of quality left. What if Len just nabbed himself a copy that is in.. shall we say... a much enjoyed state?
""Well son, yes this is a copy of Action Comics #1, but it is in rather poor condition from a collector's point of view. I'll give you a hundred bucks for it.""

Actually in that time, stealing resources ear-marked for the war effort would not have been looked upon kindly at all.

She seems more polite, sensible and level-headed while in human form, at least since the timeskip. She treats Leonard like a human being and doesn't always react violently to anything that bothers her, while in human shape.
You know, if her bitchiness and agressiveness is mostly due to her Lycanthropy Syndrome, my opinion of her would become much better. She wouldn't be a b*tch, just a decent girl with a disability that makes her lash against others when she suffers an episode.
