Looks like Katie cared about Lita that she even called her friend

IMO the balance of carrots and sticks in "Kate vs. Lita" is way better for her than with her own sister. ;)
Also, now there's the horror of pros - armed unpredictable loonie.

Yeah, as dysfunctional as the whole thing was, Katie and Lita were pretty decent friends. Add one more item to the loooong list for Katie's future psychiatrist to work out...

And apparently Zoe is still only moments away from jumping Suki again, even in the middle of an alien special forces assault... Wow. Exactly HOW LONG has it been there, Zoe?!?

On a different topic, am I the only one that suddenly sees a "noisy cricket" moment coming up soon??

So is the laser gun gonna replace Kitty-chan in Suki's holster?

Given the feats Katie accomplished in PMS (beating another werewolf with ease, "killing" Lita with a single strike) I kind of thought she could do a bit more enraged than scratch at armor ineffectually. Why not try to tear his helmet/head off?

Still not buying why she would care so much for Lita after everything the demon did to her and her loved ones with no apology, not to mention all the innocent people she slaughtered. Lita may be good now but Katie wasn't around for much of that.

But then I was never a fan of the "remorseless genocidal demon suddenly becomes amusing team pet" idea from the start.

Hmm, Katie needs to learn to wolf out even more. Go full Crinos, not just this Glabro form she usually uses.

Can she, though? I seem to remember something about her not being a full werewolf. :-?

So yea I know this isn't a highly character based comic but I would still expect Suki to be faster at helping more. She would have known Lita after all. Even with out that I would expect her to be more helpful in general since she seem to regard katie as a friend in at least some degree. There should be some anger or purpose at Lita's death. :S

BTW the first real personality display for Katie in this chapter so thumbs up for her being human after all.

she seemed to be activly supressing it. that's what the injections were for after all. Maybe without them for a while she will.

Werewolves and Lita's borrowed body, freaky supernatural things though they were, are still basically flesh and bone.

These guys? They're not wearing flak jackets - we're talking about futuristic, high tech alien combat armor. It looks to be fully sealed, presumably vacuum rated, it's very probably some sort of powered armor as well, fully able to handle weapons that wouldn't be out of place on a medium tank.

We know the big guy, Sergeant Garv, has jump-jets built in too, and from the look of him he's wearing some sort of heavy assault variant suit. That armor is likely a few INCHES thick, so massively reinforced that it doesn't even appear to have a neck joint to go after... And if it's an actual "suit" instead of some kind of combat mech, the dude himself has got to weigh half a ton and he's built like a herd of bison.

Simply put, Katie might as well try to claw a hole through the side of a battleship. These guys shouldn't have to worry about anything that wouldn't kill an MBT.

I don't see why not.
Also, Lita didn't participate in their genocidal activities much. PMS switched to serving a semi-official slaver ring at this time, remember? And even then she mostly was just hanging around.

This would be the right moment for Queen Steph to arrive with the Rohirrim, I mean, the Mothmen and kick the ass of the Reptilians.

But I fear it will be Lorna/Lori the one who will arrive to save the day...

The people examining the body she used as a vessel for starters. The people who died from her "feeding all day" before she faced the PMS (every normal person she fed on died, and it wasn't the "fun" kind of death via succubus either). The virgins she had been eating until she ran out of them. Then there are the people her "great one" ate.

Or do none of them count as "innocent people"?

Lita attempted to kill off all humans remember? It wouldn't have succeeded given her main weapon died by falling on a building but she was still genocidal.

Or maybe Summerfield.

Well, yeah. But since feeding is presumably not her choice, other than where to start (kind of by definition), it's simply one of inevitable consequences of releasing her from that chamberpot without banishing.
Varanus wrote: Or do none of them count as "innocent people"?
They do not exactly count as "slaughtered". Except her late minion-assisted feeding that fit in the primary sense of the word.
Varanus wrote: Lita attempted to kill off all humans remember?
Nope. I don't remember this. When? She captured a bunch of humans, ran off, created a magical doll house for her servants working on the gate and summoned her fiance (which didn't work as planned). Not seeing an actual attempt to "kill off all humans" here. It did look like she wanted to use Las Vegas as their own fridge, but that's about it. Otherwise the whole mess comes across as either plain predation or old-style "let's try and see how much I can grab before others try and see how much I can hold" conquest with zero reconnaissance (as opposed to now that she learned new rules of the game).
Varanus wrote:It wouldn't have succeeded given her main weapon died by falling on a building
The "great one" was Lita's loonie consort. He also started having second thoughts at the first sight of organized resistance, and required her cheering to move on, for that matter.
Varanus wrote:but she was still genocidal.
Not seeing "genocidal" part.
