This was my thought. Now, imagine if Lita is the Cinderella of this family.

So it looks as though the Vampires aren't the only things Steph & co. will be dealing with (if you exclude Lita's new incarnation) - the tags indicate the new characters are collectively the "Hoes From Hell" (so it's probably a safe bet they're familiar with the former incarnation of Lita).

And now the cheerleaders and the PMS have a reason to team up together regardless if they like each other or not. I hope this story arc will have more in store for us than just that.

It appears that the Sea Monster doesn't have sharp teeth (well, it's front teeth at least). Could it be that the poor cryptid is just a misunderstood herbivore?

I'd rather the two groups didn't team up but i don't think I'll mind it that much as Long as Lenny ends being freed and the two sides (or there leaders at least) not forgeing any kind of bond.

As for the sea monster, there are plenty of dangerious herbivours and some of the ones from mythology are down right murderious.

Well, there are plenty of cryptids that can be left alone regardless of how dangerous they CAN be. It'll be a different case if it's intelligent enough to collaborate with that demonic bunch, though.

There are a number of Fairie creatures like Kelpies and Phookas that don't eat meat but will kill people for fun.

Could be dangerous for any number of reason. Territoriality (which could include it establishing anew territory not caring if humans might have been there first), not realizing that humans can't breath underwater, eco-rage, just plain racism...

He has sharp teeth in the actual book. We tweaked his design after this was done.

He needs to be fairly intelligent to pull off something like that. And at that point, we won't be labeling him misunderstood anymore.

At least he's mostly safe while fighting underwater. I don't think Steph can get enough momentum for her dismembering sword slashes down there regardless of how much arm strength she has :P
