I think the Japanese version of that spell's incantation is more consistant but for the most part you can't go wrong.

Char's spells seem to run less on the details of the incantations than on the intent. And very few things more clearly display the intent of "I'm going to kill the crap out of you" than Dragon Slave.

That's the kanji for 'kaze' = 'wind', as in kamikaze where 'kami' means 'god' or 'holy' so 'kamikaze' = 'holy wind' which is what the kamikaze pilots were considered to be in WWII.
In compounds it can also be 'fu' or 'fū' as in 'taifū' = 'typhoon'.
