Also very intelligent, published poet and noted academic, who has written extensively on politics and international trade related to Europe and the Middle East. If you've seen the film The 13th Warrior, then you saw her for about a second; she's the gorgeous Arabian woman with the great eyes. Although in reality she's Persian.

Actually, it tanked because of Mormons and the record number of black voters. But no, you'd be surprised as how many Hollywood actors are sick and tired of prejudice. I mean, Sir Ian McKellen - Magneto, Gandalf, &c - is gay.

I live in a rural town in BC, Canada, and while I deal with people - on a daily basis - who are ignorant, they generally tend to not talk about stuff that they don't know anything about (unless they're in politics).

If you really wanna talk about conundrums, lets talk about how that vice-president nominee is pro-abstinence, anti-choice/pro-life, and has a pregnant daughter. It's the perfect example of why abstinence-only education doesn't work.

There are many famous people who exemplefy the type that I tend to gravitate towards, but they aren't the be-all/end-all of my desires. Just a general preference. I tend to find beauty in all types, as a GREAT deal of it depends on the personality and attitude of the woman in question.

But, on any given day, Sandra Bullock (funny and intelligent who's an admitted porn star in bed) or Amy Adams (she's just got a delicious sense of ... deference about her that really goes with her red hair -- yes, it's a Dom thing) would make me smile.

But the true Queen of all is Salma Hayek. There is no debate on this.

While I am not a celeb hound at all, and thus hardly know anything about actors off-screen lives, I was quite smitten by Natalya Tena, who plays Tonks in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. There's a special feature on DVD 2 where she makes a tour of the set and she is soooo gloriously funny, cute, sweet... She sits down and plays/sings a rather decent sounding song, self-composed (I think), on an acoustic guitar, only to finish with: "Yeah. You really notice I wanted a boyfriend badly back then." :lol: That was total win.

70% of the black people who voted in California voted for Prop8. If black voters hadn't have been so energized to vote for Obama, Prop8 would have failed.
