I have put the dye in and I'm waiting for the 15 minutes to be up (I estimated the time it took me to finish tinting the rest of my head, and to clean the bathroom sink).

this is probably a stupid question but I've always wonder how you dye only parts of your hair, I guess you cover the parts you don't want to dye somehow?

I used aluminium foil to cover the parts I didn't want to dye.

You can't see it properly in the photo, but one half is pink while the other half is a more purply pink as an homage to those who voted purple but were pipped at the post.

I did the rest of my hair pink as well just to get a slight effect, but I don't think it worked.

Wow, that looks surprisingly good! I generally thing pink is a dumb colour for anyone to have in their hair, but for some reason it works for you. Guess it's the shade you chose. Bold but not *too* bright (from what I can tell), and I like the hint of purple... Which I would have put several votes in for if I'd had the means to do so.

But yes! I approve!
