It is, in fact, quite possible that she looked, but there wasn't a clear bulge, and she realized that she wanted to see and that startled her. Let's face it, Gary seems to be the first guy whose name she can consistently remember - in Didi's world, up to this point, that might've been a turn-off.

I strongly doubt that Didi saw anything. Remember how in Gary's dream Didi's tattoo on her mons was not visible because Gary had never seen it? In Didi's dream, when she rolls Gary over, what she sees is Zii's face, which I think implies that when conscious, Didi has never seen Gary's "guitar hero".
