I have one from last Christmas in a Santa hat, but this year so far I just have me with a tree. With long wavy hair and a Santa hat I just look like Santa, Mel-Gibson-in-Braveheart edition.

I'm so excited.

I went to the liquor store to pick up some rum for the rum cake we make every year for Christmas.

But I thought to myself, "Ugh, rum cake is just so blah. There's got to be something I can do to spice it up, but keep it traditional..."

And then I saw it.

Banana rum.

Banana rum cake!

Totally going to make a banana rum cake for Christmas this year. :D

...Well, it sounded yummy to me.

I got my first dose of Christmas spirit this morning on the way to work.

There was a school class, and a band playing jingle bells. They were all so cute and enthusiastic. And then the 'railcorp' emergency services van had tinsel all over it. I thought it was adorable, and it made me smile.

I'm still figuring out what to do for the family kids. Does anyone have any suggestions? I want it to be more special than just toys. And I want it to be creative.

OMFGOMFGOMFGOMFOMFGOMFGDFGDFLJFG

I picked up a container of Holiday Milk, which I've never had before.

It's Pumpkin Spice flavored.

AND IT IS AMAZING.

I've gone through half the container already, and I've only just opened it. Shame on me. :(

The banana rum cake is intriguing. I for one love rum cake with the fiery hot passion of a thousand suns. This sounds like rum cake +1. So I'd love it with the fiery hot passion of a thousand and one suns. The milk sounds scrumdiddleyumptious as well.

Holiday Milk? Is that like Egg Nog? If it is, I totally just finished a jug of that, and I'm the only one in my house who drinks it.

For the kiddies... hm... it's always fun to try and set up a scavenger hunt. Make a list of hints through the room leading to a small-ish Christmas tree with a small gift for each of them under it. And I mean SMALL, like $1 MAX each. The awesome presentation allows you to be cheap.
