it being an existing concept or having occured in other mediums/works is immaterial. I am not surprised by such a relationship existing. Rather that plotwise in Gunnerkrigg, the sequence of events and these two being a couple and it being their reason for visiting her, is what I did not see coming.

I meant the notion of robots and organic beings being connected by bonds of affection and desire had come up in Gunnerkrigg Court before. ^_^ It's about time we had a couple that was both consentual and balanced, unlike that obsessed whale or Robot's eerie worship.

nope, wasn't surprised by that. was just not expecting that to be their motivation in setting up this meeting

I am glad she didn't follow protocol and reject his advances, mock him infront of robot peers, etc.
