Not surprising. Adonis is just a run-off-the-mill term for 'attractive young dude' nowadays. It's like calling my lunch awesome: a dilution of the term's historical intentions.

Is a mark of my disdain for him that I shall never spell his name correctly.

Thought it'd be better to put this here instead of the Cranky Couch, though I think it could have fit in both.

Old childhood friend put this up on Facebook with "Wake up America!" over it

My response
I love how everyone loves invoking Godwin's Law on every damn person they hate. Because OBVIOUSLY they're on the same level or worse as the guy who committed that much genocide just because you hate them.

The sentiment is both right and wrong. We can't improve society if everyone is selfish, but it will get worse if society is always put before the individual.

ADD is a double edged sword. Also the handle is a blade.

That one's easy: it's because it sounds disgusting. Society's got nothing to do with that. ~Gotoh

Update: She got defensive.
Well, I'm sure that's how all of those innocent people felt until they were led into cattle trailers and exterminated for standing up for themselves or the Color of their hair and eyes.

I don't hate Hillary Clinton or Obama for that matter. I do not believe the government is to be controlled in the matter that its being held. This is my opinion. If you find it extreme or hateful you do not know me as well as you think you do.
Ill fight for my freedom. I won't be willingly led onto a cattle trailer. I'd fight for you and anyone else. However if you choose to turn a blind eye and literally watch as HISTORY repeats itself that it your choice

Sometimes I just feel like I need new friends. Here in town. It's a very conservative town, tho. We have more churches than we do schools. It's ridiculous how many. Only ONE of them (that's registered in the phone book, anyway) is non-Christian. There are a group of monks that come around Wal-Mart occasionally for supplies. I have no idea where they're located, though.
