I was just rummaging in the fridge to find some breakfast, so I took a quick glance at what we have.
I'll probably make Cajun Fried Tofu, a salad, and some rice.

Gross Well, it doesn't have much flavour on it's own as it takes on the flavour of whatever it's cooked with.
But I buy firm tofu, which makes it have a similar consistancy and thickness to meat. So when I season it and add sauce and stuff, it tastes more like meat... rather than that squishy stuff.

I'd have thought that this could have gone under the recipies thread... or I could just merge them into an all encompassing 'Food' thread...
Anyway... dinner was lasagne

Fruit-flavored soft tofu... Is nasty. It SHOULD have the consistency of pudding or a solid-ish yogurt... But it's really just pure nastiness.
I'm currently nomming on cthulhu fries ( ) and a turkey burger. This will probably be my only meal today... I work around dinnertime.

Here, we take desayuno early in the morning, then we have almuerzo early in the afternoon or midday, then we have la cena, at night, the last meal of the day.
When we don't have breakfast nor lunch, only one single meal in between, we call it brunch, just like in english. But that's not a spanish word, it's more like slang (T2B, is there a translation for americanismo? no, verdad?)
I have lunch twice per day from monday to friday cause around noon i eat at the uni cafeteria and then I gt home around 4pm and have lunch again cause I'm a pig and then about 8pm I have dinner. which is always lighter, but still

Indeed. It’s generally sold sliced, and put on sandwiches (it’s usually dressed with mayonnaise and cheese, or sometimes other items like mustard). Oscar Mayer and Eckrich are two brands that sell it.
You can also buy it pickled, in which case it comes in a jar of pickle juice, in a long link (much like a sausage link, only larger).
Edit: Fixed a typo.

Does anyone else here enjoy cooking... erm... creatively? Like picking recipes that sound weird, or making stuff up?

Re: What's for dinner/supper/tea tonight?
Since I shouldn't cook, whenever I do, I just make stuff up. Like, I was just going to mix orange juice and ginger and toss it in a pan with some porkchops, for orange ginger pork. I have no idea how orange ginger sauce is actually made, but that sounds logical to me, so that's how I'd do it. My brother and I used to make our own desserts, and we'd get really creative. But that's going way back, when we were little kids. I have to cook dinner on Mondays since I'm living at home again... I don't know what I'm going to make...
