I just don't like the stuff. It's too sweet.

But, then again, I'll scarf down a bar of dark chocolate without flinching...

There was a shooting in a public library in Clovis yesterday. My cousin and her family lives there. She homeschools her daughter and they had plans to go there yesterday to print out some resources but ended up not going #:-S The shooter is a 15 year old kid. There's not much known about it yet, I don't think, motive-wise.

I can't imagine how traumatized everyone there has to be. It's a bigger town than here but it's still not that big. According to Google the town had 39,373 last year. Most places in New Mexico probably have a number like that. I know they'll get through it cause that's what humans do but it's gonna be hard.

Yes, yes more of this please.

They're doing evacuations in Germany after discovering an undetonated WWII era bomb. The NY Post says two cities and the bomb is American. Reuters UK just reported evacuations in Frankfurt and the bomb is British. Reuters probably has better reporting :P Here's Reuters

One thing about that article though:
More than 2,000 tonnes of live bombs and munitions are found each year in Germany, even under buildings. In July, a kindergarten was evacuated after teachers discovered an unexploded World War Two bomb on a shelf among some toys.
How the hell does a bomb get mixed in with toys?! ON A SHELF?!

@yira: Not sure whether the bombs are US or UK, but the cities are Frankfurt and Koblenz.

And just a few days ago, we had another one right here in Trier, but that doesn't make the news stateside. :P

The closest to my home was about a mile away.

And the thing on the shelf was likely a grenade, not a bomb.

Even I found a live unexploded grenade in the woods when I was a kid.

So it's kind of like finding arrowheads here. Only they can attack.

Well, Yira, I've self appointed that I shall seek nice news to post...and if you're not careful, you can still get cut by those arrowheads, and possibly get an infection.

Not as likely as an UXB, but still...got that lecture during my archaeology classes.

I... I can't. I just can't. I have to find some Dan and listen to it immediately.
