So far, three officially dead, seventy-five wounded, twenty-five of those critically.

Though I have to say coldly and pragmatically, that's still better than the "mass casualties" in the very first article. Seems the pilot got the plane away from the stands in the last moment

I heard the radio news just now, and it appears some of the diplomatic sanctions imposed by the USNA on Iceland on cause of the whaling include a rethought of all actions of the arctic council.

Styphon, that's finback, which isn't even hunted nowadays (your quote being an old newsitem), even though there's a quota for... I'm not sure about it, 50 animals. Minke is all we hunt, and (with me not being a specialist) seeing that it sells out in less than a week after each animal is drawn on land, export seems quite unlikely.

Re: Thread : In the news today
I think LS, having been thoroughly defeated, is now pursuing other goals.

Ah, and here I was trying to determine whether the picture was from Stamford Bridge or Arena AufSchalke.

Re: Thread : In the news today
It actually appears that LS is implying that Iceman is shifting goal posts, which means that Iceman has changed his point as LS argued against it.

The word "casualty" is used by emergency personnel to describe anyone who has been injured or traumatized. "Fatality" is never used in the field, except by a doctor or someone of equivalent and higher rank.

From the description of him doing a loop, it sounds like he lost control of the elevator. They will only have video evidence to go by, as with the force of that crash, control connections will not be verifiable.

Ah, thanks for the explanation, Gil. I wasn't doing that though... just explaining it further.
