I was quite sad to hear George Michael passed, and I've been quite melancholy for the last couple of days. With this new news about Carrie Fisher... I'm inconsolable. Star Wars was often ridiculed for having so few female characters (and rightly so), but I always felt that Carrie conveyed a strength and a authority within a subtle vulnerability that showed no one else could have played her role. After she stepped away from her role as Princess Leia, Carrie Fisher showed that she was an even stronger and more complex person than any of us could have expected. I don't often curse, because I don't want people to mistake when I have something important that I truly and ardently wish to say that my emphasis isn't understood. So with that in mind, I say... 2016, eat a bag of dicks.

SHH! SHH! SHH! You'll curse Rob Halford! :-ss

In related news, someone created a GoFundMe page to protect actress Betty White from the clutches of the Grim Reaper through the end of 2016. As of late Wednesday night, he'd raised more than $1,000 over his goal of $2,000.

And now the actor from ALF. I don't know how widespread that show was (was it just the US?) but I apparently LOVED it when I was little. I remember nothing but my mom's gonna be bummed.

I didn't see that; however, a former NFL player, Keion Carpenter, died yesterday after accidentally hitting his head.

Ah...found it... Mihaly "Michu" Meszaros. He was the actor behind ALF, and provided the voice. He passed away in June at the age of 76.

The article I read said he was the one in the body suit but someone else provided the voice? IMDB says he played for 11 episodes while Paul Fusco did 103.

Paul Fusco was the puppeteer who provided the voice, and controlled the puppet for any scene where Alf's lower body wasn't shown. Michu Meszaros was the guy who wore the suit when a full-body Alf was needed.
I swear I will, I'll make you smile.
