I got Diablo II. And installed it. But it won't play. These are the errors that are popping up. Any help?

Make sure you have DirectX 9.0c installed, Midge.

Also, check for any updates. Then restart your computer. Amazing how that last one makes a difference

Downloaded DirectX 9.0c and restarted my computer. Same errors are popping up.

Try setting the game .exe to run with a different compatability? I'm not sure what OS your running, but I know Vista would cause problems like that... Also... have you run any of the patches for it? I know sometimes a patch can help and fix compatability issues, yet sometimes also, adding one ins stuff the program up more for me.

I'm running on an XP. How would I find the patches or updates? It didn't say I needed anything when I installed it.

Just found the tech support page for the game from Blizzard.

It sounds like the error is occuring when the start-up movie is trying to come on? It says it may possibly be a conflict error with another program your running in the background.

Heres the patch page though which should fix the error when you download and install it.
