As it happens, I've attended KeyCon for the first time this year, and for the past 3 years I've been to the Central Canada Comic-Con (or C4, as it's lovingly called); both as an attendee and as a games-table volunteer. Also, my buddy Ryan has been encouraging me to attend Ai-Kon, mostly because he's on the board of directors or something. :))

But those all take place within Winnipeg, which I suspect is too out-of-the-way for all but the most intrepid forumite. ;) Once I get some cash saved up, I might travel to cons out west, or even down in Minnesota or over in Toronto.

I'm gonna be at the Global Atheist Convention in Melbourne next year! It'll most likely be the only opportunity I'll ever get to meet the Hitch, what with the terminal cancer and all. :( It's going to be my second super-serious convention (the first being The Amazing Meeting Australia, where I met James Randi, the SGU boys, Rebecca Watson, George Hrab and Richard Saunders), so I'm pretty excited about the whole thing.

If anyone else is going to Melbourne's gathering next year, we should totally hang.
