Muscle weighs more than fat, so don't let the slowdown concern you if you're trying to grow muscle.

Re: Motivation!
So, I've only lost 2 pounds in the last two weeks. I've been a bit under the weather so I haven't exercised like I've been trying to keep up. Plus, I don't think it's a coincidence that I've had limited contact with Callan over the past two weeks... I know myself, I know when I'm doing all right it's far easier to motivate myself. When I'm down, it's an entirely other story.
But I did have a nice reaction when I went over my mother's this weekend... haven't seen her since I went on the diet, and everyone was pretty impressed with the results. Total weight loss at the time of this writing, 22 pounds.

Re: Motivation!
Hey, it's still a loss. Hopefully things pick you up a bit and you can get back into being a little more motivated.
I put our elliptical in the den so I can use it during the hockey games. I used it during the first period yesterday, and going from not exercising to 40 hard minutes on the elliptical kind of sucked. I was going to use it during all three periods, and rest and rehydrate during intermissions, but I could hardly feel my legs after one period. I am out of shape.

Re: Motivation!
As of this morning, I currently weigh in at 217 pounds... I have lost a total 27.5 pounds. Boo-yah! Only 2.5 pounds left to lose from my original goal of getting down to 215. Ideally, I would like to hit 190 - a nice, svelte weight for my height of 5'11". We'll see how that goes.

Re: Motivation!
Current weight - 209 pounds. I've lost 36.5 pounds since December 30th, and I'm still slowly loosing more. I've also spent the last three hours writing, doing a loose exercise while listening to Yo-Yo Ma doing Bach's Cello Suites. Still haven't bought a guitar, and don't have the excess money to get another tattoo yet. However, the weight loss was the major goal that I most wanted to focus on, and I have. I hope to get contact lenses again soon, so I can get back to playing hockey - which will be good for me mentally, as well as another way to loose yet more weight. Huzzah!

Re: Motivation!
This is something I have been sorely (no pun intended... ah, you'll see what I mean in a bit) lacking for the past MONTH or so. The energy to do ANYTHING.
So somehow, I got signed up for a Zumba class up at the college. We've only gone two days and oh god my legs, my stomach D: They are going to be jelly tomorrow. JELLY. Too early to see any results but if I can work off the pot belly thing I've had going on, I'm gonna be glad.

Re: Motivation!
Well, since May I've had some ups and downs, but I had a goal for the end of the summer... 205 pounds. And when I got on the scale this morning, 205.0 pounds on the dot. WOOT! It's seemed as though every pound I lose has been a very slow struggle, but I'm finally at my goal a full two months early. Now, for the long range goal... 190 pounds. I haven't been 190 since I was 20, but supposedly it's the most I'm supposed to weigh for my height. But, I'm keeping at it, and considering that over a year and a half I've lost and kept off 40 pounds - I'm rather happy with what I've accomplished.

Congrats! I'm at like 216, but my goal is to just not gain weight from week to week and I've been worrying about losing too much...

Re: Motivation!
That is awesome DnE! I'm doing pretty well at paying attention to what I'm taking in, I'm not doing too much in the way of exercise beyond Kempo and MMA, though when I have my own place closer to work I'll use the time I save to start up p90x again (I've started a couple times but never finished).
