For those metalheads who do not know, Rebellion is an offshoot of the German power metal band GRAVE DIGGER. They sing about vikings and history and such. This particular song is about Canute The Great, who was King Of England from 1016 to 1035. He married the widow of Aethelred The Unready, who had just died and as a result Queen Emma mothered two sons (Harthacnut, by Canute and Edward The Confessor by Aethelred) who would both become Kings Of England in their own right.

I'm a history nerd. Sue me. ;)

I can't stop listening to Ivy Levan. Ever since I heard her rendition of "Science Fiction Double Feature" (the only decent song in Fox's remake of Rocky Horror Picture Show), I've been checking out all her songs. Her retro-pop/40's R&B sound is fantastic. I only wish she stuck to that style more.
Hot Damn is one of her best, a serious earworm, in a good way.
