You mean that one that I thought was really cool? :P

Saw Gods of Egypt today, which I thought was actually a good bad movie, loads of fun but clearly guilty pleasure, and 10 Cloverfield Lane, which was significantly better but disappointed me a bit for reasons - I'm obviously not going to spoil anything.

I actually thought it was a pretty okay movie too, DA. :P

Went to see The Jungle Book last night.

What an absolutely marvelous movie!!! :x

The SFX are among the best I have EVER seen, exactly because they are essentially invisible. Okay, I'm not an expert on how animals look or move, but all of them seemed extremely realistic to me, with incredible levels of detail.

To the point that, as an adult, I noticed some discrepancies, especially with Baloo - he has neither a butthole nor any sign of genitals...

Also, I could not fail to notice that with the exception of Baloo and his honey (inb4 vegans tearing him up, also for wearing fur!!!), and some vultures picking at the bones of a certain unfortunate wolf no predator is ever seen to eat anything. They have the Law of the Jungle but not the actual law of the jungle...

So okay, they do this because it's a family movie, aight? And then the whole plot is a little human being pursued by an evil monstrous tiger, which ends in a climatic battle which will probably scare the shit out of all the little kids. =)) (And let's not even mention King Louie!)

But those small nitpicks aside - fantastic, just fantastic. Shere Khan was soooo menacing, he immediately enters my favorite villain list.

BTW, I'm... pretty sure I've seen the cartoon, but that must have been 30+ years ago.

Finally got to see Zootopia. If you haven't seen it yet, do so. A really fun flick and easily the best animated movie I've seen lately. :-bd
