Ewrgh!!!

We're getting a heat wave here too, but at worst it is supposed to be like 40 and probably 80% humidity, and that only in western Germany.

Right now, it's 67F (19.4C) here in Vermont. It's been raining so much lately that some crops are in danger of failure.

It's a bit warmer in Boston (USA), but not much, and cloudy.
I'm not complaining- I dislike summer heat and humidity.

According to weather.com, it's been average here. UV index is a 7 out of 10. Highest it's supposed to get this week is 100 F/37 C on Sunday. It's almost always dry here. Very very dry.

This has become way too much on topic for Jabber. :P Moved here. The DAMNed

I will say this- I hope our European friends are staying safe in this heatwave. We may be teasing you all a bit, but we are worried.

I've decided to stay inside during this blistering heat, with windows opened to create cool drafts in my room. :P

Shows 23 degrees Celsius (73 degrees Fahrenheit)!!!!

In the middle of the fucking night!!! :|

I'm going to have a very hard time sleeping tonight. :-s

I'm sorry to hear that Don. It seems as if the hot air we get in the eastern US has been transferred to you Europeans.

So, the heat wave turns to thunderstorms.

Yesterday: One huge storm system hits middle Thuringia, dumps like 10 cm/4 inches of hail on the capital Erfurt. Here? Nice light show on the horizon, sprinkle of rain. Later, small thunderstorm passes over us, bit of lightning, sprinkle of rain.

Today: Gigantic storm system moves across much pf northern Germany, the southernmost outliers pass about 50 km north. Get another wee storm, sprinkle of rain. Later in the evening, strong storms come... right toward us? NO, they pass to the southeast AND northwest. Beautiful lightning show, several small rain showers (bit more than a sprinkle).

That was FUCKING IT. I hate this place!!!! :(( :(( :(( :(( :((

At least it's reasonably cool.

We get storms that pass us all the time. It's annoying. It'll hit town and possibly cause small flooding but where we're at? Light rain or nothing at all. Except wind. There's a lot of wind.

I live in the Ohio River valley. A lot of the time storms stay in the flat areas to the north and south, but sometimes a huge storm will get funneled right up the valley and we get hammered. Every few years a town somewhere along the river is severely damaged by a tornado.
Yes, it is as bad as you think, and they are out to get you

lately there's been smoke hanging in the air, turning the sun red and creating a nice haze, and probably messing with lots of people's allergies and stuff
