Double post, but it's been a while. Car people need to keep an eye on Hawaii Five-O next Monday. Sounds like the show's going to be all about cars. CAR SHOW IN HAWAII BABY \o/

These are only the winter tires. The normal tires are supposed to look much nicer . (Will have to wait till March for those - and for a nicer picture with a more appealing background.)

Re: They See Me Rollin' - The Car Thread
I look at this car six days a week at work. It's a 1970 Mustang Mach 1 with a 428 CobraJet that was fully restored by the shop I work at circa 1998. During its life after that it was stolen and spent six years sitting outside where the engine seized and the elements necessitated another restoration. Amazingly the paint is from the original restoration, though the engine had to be bored out and reworked which put it at 440 cubic inches and the cast iron heads were swapped for ported and polished aluminum heads.
When I started at the shop last April it had a C6 automatic, but some time in December we removed that and bolted in an electronic overdrive from a '98-05 Mustang complete with a custom control module tucked under the dash. Plug a laptop into the module and you can readjust the shift points based on RPM and speed, when the torque converter locks and releases, how firm or soft it shifts. Pair that with 500+ horsepower, and you've got a Hell of a toy.

Re: They See Me Rollin' - The Car Thread
Early this week, while driving to work, liquid of some kind started splashing over the hood and onto my windshield. Popped the hood, saw what looked like antifreeze. Not good. Took it to the mechanic, and my fears were made reality -- my radiator was gone, baby, gone. $300+ in repairs later, I now have a new radiator in an 11-year-old work vehicle. Man, I need a better job so I can either get my car fixed up right or get a new ride.
