Those DDR arrows are very suggestively placed in that composition.

That was simply brilliant! All those "perfects" as well as the last panel which absolutely killed! I loved the expressions on their faces.

Moving truck rental: $50..with $200 deposit

Moving boxes into new apartment: $0

New roommate's Wii with DDR accessories: $500

Watching curvilicious new roommate dominate DDR: Priceless

She's having fun. We're having fun. I'm sure that if Gary and Zii were to be able to say something, they'd admit to having fun. So it's all good.

Mmmyes. Good, clean...fun. Wonder if they'd pop if you put a pin to 'em.

On that last panel, I keep thinking of the old Warner Brothers cartoons when the main character's jaw drops and hits the floor. I can totally HEAR that anvil hit!

Seriously, Awesome comic Giz. Not only for the writing, but the art second to none.

DiDi is officially my favorite character in this comic. xD She's so cute and bouncy.

And jiggly. That's always a plus.

Hrm, let's see. Didi playing Guitar Hero VS. Didi playing DDR.
I'm sure that even YOU would have to say DDR, even if it is only purely for the jiggly boobs.
Dying craze or not, I'd rather play DDR until I fell flat on my face than attempt to play Rock Band. Guitar Hero is fun, but I just simply LOVE ddr.
'Sides, I'm a bit more "old school" when it comes to gaming, so when it down to "crazes" i honestly don't give a crap. =/
(especially if hot chicks are playing DDR, it's just....duuuuuuuude)
DDR is... old school? Absurd. Untrue, I say.

"Crazes" are a useful tool for manipulating feeble-minded pleebs. Fads can also be used to manipulate the people determined not to follow them.

Beauty is to be admired, not slavered over. Collect your tongue off the floor and have some dignity, man.

Simply by whims and chance
Won't leave her impressed.

Baking a girl a cake,
Does much more than beating your chest."

Actually, it is kinda oldschool now since the origional DDR machine was released into arcades in Japan back in November 1998, DDR actually celebrates its 10th aniversary on the 21st of November this year. I'd say being a decade old makes it oldschool.

But technically, Guitar Hero's is pretty oldschool too as this developed from the Guitar Freaks arcade game, which was also released around 98-99.

DiDi is so cute and seems so sweet and sincere. I just hope she doesn't turn out to be an evil seductress who uses her looks and natural charm to manipulate people. I so want her to be the person she appears to be here: joyful, honest, and real.

It didn't ring any bells for me either (not too surprising, considering DDR is not my thing), but this is what wikipedia has to say about it: link, in short, it's old school. :P

As for what it sounds like: link. Just ignore the visuals, has nothing to do with the subject.

As to the question of why she has her eyes closed, she may have played this level so many times previously, that some of the steps are ingrained into her muscle memory, similar to the way a kata/hyung/form is for a martial artist. B'sides, I'm sure all of us have a game that we could almost play automatically after a lot of practice.:)
