There's something sexy and cute about this comic. Not to mention utterly funny.

Considering most of the men in Yaoi seem to look like women...

Though, I saw Sensitive Pornograph the other day which was my first official Yaoi viewing. I mostly have seen shounen ai before then.

So if Zii survives the mortification of wearing that outfit for an entire shift (and remember, kids, the root of mortification is "mort": death ;) ), maybe she can get her inner geek on and collaborate with Junghan to come up with something thematic that she's actually willing to be seen in. Tank Girl Zii, anybody? :-? I'm sure there are other possibilities to play with...

This is the one thing that kind of bothers me in anime. O.k. it annoys me. Why in God's name do the japanese have to have all of these great looking guys that look like damn women? I'm like WTF?? Is every manga-ka in Japan secretly gay or something. Hell none of the samurai looked like that!

IIRC, a more feminine looking man is considered sexy. I could be misremembering it.

However, if every male manga-ka in Japan were secretly gay, I'd imagine most of the male characters would look more like greek statues than androgynous men. Plus, there are anime where you definitely can't mistake the male characters for women:

First timer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, not that exciting...

I'm really surprised to see (unless it what mentioned in an earlier topic, but then again, we couldn't see what she would look like yet) that Magical Tralala is essentially Ulala from Space Channel 5 (Inner Monologue: With that statement you have sealed your fate here as a geek FOREVER! MWAHAHAHAhahahaha....).

There was that one episode of Samurai Champloo detailing the samurai way as somewhat... ( '_')-(\) If you catch my ascii. Also, in that show, Jin is the ur-example of what a samurai should be right down to the androgyny (in addition to scholarly, well trained, disciplined), while Mugen is probably the more realistic samurai (the opposite).

And I would think It would depend on the type of gay. Gay like Dillon or gay like Matt (goes for the girly type, AKA Dillon or girls in general, seeing as he's bisexual).

I really think that one shouldn't judge all J-pop as a single entity. If it's some high pitched girl with inane lyrics, like that one Rurouni Kenshin op (YUUUUUKIIIIII!!!!) then yeah, the whole world cries with you, Zii, but if it's some of T.M.Revolution's later work, that's decently rock-ish.

I also sometimes wonder if people include J-rock in J-pop... Dir en Grey's "Saku" didn't come in MTV's Headbanger's Ball 1st without reason.

Now that this is done, I don't know why I did it...

M'kay - almost time for a karmic retalliation on Jung. ... but first, Zii has to go up onto a chair or ladder in order to fetch the archived copies of 'unsellable' comics that will now sell thanks to the 'panties of doom!!!'
