Ooh, we're seeing some of Didi's sense of humor today. Character development FTW!

1. Little bit of a plug for the web host here, huh?

2. Lots of potential for amusement here (we do need another source of humor besides sex or the threat thereof). There is a comic book chain in my area which is now really a sort of music/paraphenalia store and hangout for the punk crowd. Zii would indeed fit right in.

3. "Massage parlors?" DiDi making a JOKE? WOW! She is also showing again that she has a sexually knowing side...so how come she can't figure out that Zii is coming on to her? When are we going to get a credible explanation for that? Dave? Giz?....[crickets]

Don't forget about "danseuses", which Babel Fish tells me means "dancers". I can only assume that means the "exotic" kind. ;)

It's also slang for "Strippers"

I'm with Zii here, retail has got to be worse than stripping.

Never done the latter, but I've certainly done the former. Customers suck.

OK, you. You'd better start clearing up the great DiDi mystery soon, because it's starting to feel like a pebble in the shoe.

Except it ain't a slang.
If you say you're a "danseuse", everyone will think you're doing classical or modern dancing, that's all.
In fact I don't think there's a word for "strippers" in french, you'll have to say "danseuse en petite tenue" (petite tenue : not a lot of clothes), or more bluntly "danseuse dans une boîte de stripe-tease", there you'll be assured that everyone will get it.

With DiDi suggesting such *ahem* /:) sexually notorious jobs, one might have to wonder about DiDi's "waitressing" at times...... Not that she doesn't do it, but WHERE does she waitress? Does DiDi waitress at some kind of dive bar or some kind of "Hooters" restaurant or something?

Important to note: Slang is not the same everywhere.

Hold it.... my paradox senses are tingling... *Looks at Comic Book Store name... looks at forum grouping name,... look at comic store name again.* :-\ *Waits for royalties checks* ;)

Kind of surprised that Zii would turn down a comic book store when we know from the first few strips she's meant to like them. She probably just doesn't want to put up with Gary's all day though. Heck, I know if we had a decent comic book store nearby I'd want to work for them....

Exotic dancers and a massage parlour... nice one DiDi :ymdevil: She's got an evil sense of humour apparently, which I like. Please can someone invent a way to clone comic book characters into the real world? :ympray:

I still love that 'For the love of Primus' line from Gary :D Okay, so its 'Primus help us all' here, but same principle :P

Just one thing though... whats that 'Bandes Dessin' meant to say?

edit: Ohh... its Bandes Dessinee which means litterally 'Drawn Strips' =))
