I've been reading Didi's behavior in the "naively clueless" category, not "crushing".

I see everyone squee'ing over Zii's expression in panel 3, but personally my favorite expressions are in panel 2--from Didi and Zii both. Zii in panel 2 just looks so simple and happy.

And yes, Zii does have very nice boobs...

I don't really now exactly why, but this feeling about what may be a sign of something bad to come for Zii being in that room with DiDi. Unless Giz or Dave proves me wrong. Omen coming to fruition.

I have three reactions to this:

1. At last!
Finally, after all the hinting and scheming and giggling and voyeurism, SOMEONE in this house has made a definite pass at someone else. All this beating about the bush (har de har) was getting a little irritating.

2. Awww.
Zii is so cute and adorable here, even with her chibi vampire face. And just look at her eyes--she's utterly smitten, totally in love with her Amazon. This is more than just lust (though it's that too, course). It's kind of interesting to see her being sweet and affectionate with someone (even if she's telling yet another lie while doing so). You do want her dream to come true.

3. Oh, dear.
While it's been months for us readers, Zii has only known DiDi for a few days, and I sense that she is rushing things. Zii loves DiDi, but she doesn't really KNOW her. DiDi is more complex and sensitive than she seems on the surface (ha, I originally wrote 'service' here), and I don't think Zii realizes that. DiDi has been sending out some confusing signals, all right--letting Zii feel her up in the shower, sashaying around in boff-me underwear--but I sense that if DiDi has any real lesbian leanings that those are unconsicous or at best semi-conscious. As we know (and Zii does not), DiDi is really quite conflicted about sex, even (it seems) straight sex. We don't even know if she has already realized that Zii has the hots for her (though you'd think any reasonably bright girl could have figured it out by now). I have this nasty feeling that a sudden, abrupt aproach like Zii is making here might freak DiDi out completely. If DiDi has any lesbian feelings, I doubt that she's ready to deal with them--in fact, confronting those feelings might be even harder for her than dealing with her conflicts about sex generally. In short, I think Zii could be heading straight for disaster here. I fear that DiDi will be freaked out and that Zii will have her heart broken, and that there will be a lot of embarassment, sad faces, and averted eyes around the breakfast table. I like Zii and I like DiDi, but I have a feeling that they're about to hurt each other. That could cause serious problems when they have to live together and see each other every day. I like Zii and I like DiDi, but I have a feeling that they're about to hurt each other. That could cause serious problems when they have to live together and see each other every day. Agreeing with everything you said, but so far I believe we've not seen very much of Zii's "good" side--she's usually on the extreme end of things, and seems to behave on raw impulse much of the time. We also have evidence that her impulsive nature (and/or lack of thinking things through) has gotten her into trouble before ( http://www.menagea3.net/d/20081104.html, and when she stormed the porn set), implying that she has yet to learn from previous mistakes. At the worst, Zii may continue to stay the same even after hurting Didi unintentionally, and that could indeed be quite disastrous for everyone.

Perhaps if Didi isn't too scared off by Zii's behavior, she will take the time to explain (albeit perhaps a bit hurriedly) how she feels about it? Might be beneficial in the long run for both of them, especially if Didi's keeping a whole bunch of secrets all bottled up.
