Unfortunately, I don't get the anime reference... but is it wrong in the last panel one of the first things to catch my eye was the "jiggle motion lines" to infer that Didi is bouncing around rather liberally? :D

I haven't watched all of them, but ever since the comic came up I've had this nagging feeling that the anime that Dave mentioned might be one of the Tenchi Muyo series, specifically some kind of duel beteween Ayeka and Ryoko over Tenchi's love (again.... ;) )

I didn't think it concerned the pillow fight. Besides, if I was right, the body types would've been reversed: Didi would be Ayeka who in TM is smaller and a "frail" princess vs. Zii being Ryoko who's the immortal super-strong space pirate in TM.

ETA: Bear above mentions something about Bleach. The only appropriate twosome there would be Soifon and Yoruichi, I think.....

Yeah, no e-apple or internets for me. For some reason I really wanna say Akira, but I'm 99.2% sure I'm wrong.

But I do love this strip. Love Eve's style! (Started reading Synthetic Life, too... Wow.)

And I'd LOVE to get in the middle of DiDi's pillows... Errm. That pillow fight. With Zii. Yes. ;;)
