Thanks for the history, and thanks to the creative team for having her stick around. She’s one of my favorite things about this comic.
If we’re making requests for cameos by long gone minor character, I want Adrian!

Can't deny ZIi's past. Even Zii admits she's hard a hard love life... mostly having herself to blame. However Zii is a favorite of the creative team, perhaps with some of Giz dreams/hopes/past rolled into her. I wouldn't expect Zii to become the creepy cat lady, living alone.VoxPopuli wrote: ↑Sat Feb 02, 2019 8:10 pmI hope Zii ends up alone. Not because I think she doesn't deserve anybody or stuff like that, but because she has to be alone for a while and figure out what the hell she actually wants. It seems like everytime she ends up with somebody it ends up as a disaster.
Where Gary had his journey to becoming a functional adult male with sexual experience galore, I feel Zii's journey is to learn to settle down and enjoy what she has. She has her pinnacle lover, if Didi is able to control her orgasm addiction. As I said earlier, I really want the next strips to be Zii & Didi having their talk.
Didi and Peggy are the linchpins to the conclusion of Ma3. Most of us have speculated that Peggy realizes she has to be able to enjoy life and not let 'something beautiful' pass her by (read: perma-snog Gary). But we haven't seen hide nor hair of Didi in ages. Trust me, I am dying to hear Peggy's confession/response to Gary (good or bad). But Didi is the obstacle interrupting Zii and the potential three-way of (Didi or) Zii & Peggy & Gary... if my fanwanking theory holds true (Peggy knows Gary fancies Zii, at least once in the sack; Peggy might enjoy the spice in their relationship/sexual freedom).

My headcanon is that he’s landed a new post as headwaiter in a German-style restaurant specialising in wurst.christopheftw wrote: ↑Sat Feb 02, 2019 8:33 pmIf we’re making requests for cameos by long gone minor character, I want Adrian!
As to Zii — well, okay, it’s yet more headcanon, but my best explanation for her self-destructive problems is that she got dumped and hurt hard in her first serious relationship, back in her teens — so on the one hand, she spent years limiting herself to one-night stands because that way she got out before anyone could hurt her, and on the other, now she’s in a serious (or “serious”) relationship with someone for whom she actually cares (to whatever extent), the idea of hurting that person herself would make her feel terrible.
If I’m right (and like I said, this is all fanwank), then any solution, whether it leaves her with Gary or DiDi or alone or whatever, has got to involve her realising that she can’t carry on relitigating her teenage heartbreak forever, and it’s time to deal with people as they deserve by their own lights.

I think Peggy's reaction is more of a sign that she doesn't care about Gary nearly enough to commit to a relationship with him. At this rate it's likely that Gary ends up with no one in the end.

I see your point, but perhaps she will consider a partnership with him that includes a healthy amount of sexual freedom for both of them. As long as there are some ground rules for Gary to bring to the table (like no guy-guy), I don't see that scenario being unreasonable. I think Gary would be just happy knowing he had someone steady and truly interested in him. I think Peggy would just like someone dependable and willing & able to help satisfy her desire for sexual expression. Her insecurity about commitment, she knows, is irrational and wants to logic through it baby steps at a time.
