Okay, I must admit that I giggled at the first panel.

Actually, I like way Ruby is handling this; the combination of spot-on snark and hopeless denial (I mean, saying that to the yaoi club she founded?) is just so her. Equally, of course, we get Zii claiming credit for everything that Gary accomplished without her, but also undercutting Ruby's denial with a wave of a manga. These people are a perpetual mix of smart and stupid.

And now that the set-up has been established, hopefully, the plot can move forward...

(Outside guess; if Ruby can't admit comfortably to heterosexual thoughts, is she going to have to unleash Rudy again? I'm not sure of the logic there -- she was able to convince herself to try the LBD -- but it is another plot element that maybe needs one last appearance before the comic ends. And Rudy might have the capacity to say crude things flat-out to Andy which Ruby lacks.)

Not to be vulgar, Dillon, but assfucking is not as common as porn makes it look, and it's definitely not as easy as porn makes it look. From what I've read on the subject, it involves a very slow, gradual build-up that requires plenty of lube and a very clear amount of attention paid to it. This comic definitely hasn't represented it as such.

That aside, there's our first mention of asexuality in relation to Andy. For the record, though, asexuality merely means not interested, not clueless about what it is, how it works or why people have it. I guess he's an idiot on the side. That's okay, though; these comics are full of them.

The answer's simple: I don't really follow SDB, I'm not interested in it half as much as any of the other comics, My head is so full of clutter that non-essential information consistently falls to the wayside if I'm not heavily interested in it and as such I have no memory of seeing that strip.

I'd actually credit Dillon with the ability to make a small joke at his own expense. He does seem to understand how he appears to everyone else ("super-mega-gay"), when he tries.

To be honest, while I'd love to see the entire club coming together to assemble a Zany Scheme for Ruby, I suspect that they have too many issues with each other to collaborate, and Ruby clearly still has problems persuading herself to pay attention to most of them; she (rightly) assumes that they don't think much like her, so (wrongly) assumes that their advice wouldn't be applicable.

One of them might throw out a stray line that gives her a usable idea, though, perhaps by accident. Zii has just reminded her that she has a very definite interest in sex, but filters it through a "safe"-for-her fixation on gay male activity. Maybe add in Angel reminding her that gender fluidity is a thing, and Dillon reminding her that she's capable of boldness when correctly provoked, and she'll think to reactivate Rudy. Bonus points if this leads to a confused meeting with Amber.

Angel clearly has a broad comprehension of issues of sexuality, but Amber is the only person who'd previously mentioned asexuality, and even she found the idea a little puzzling. I suspect that Ruby's Google research has actually left her with better (theoretical) knowledge than anyone else in that room.

Nah. Giz and Dave are, if anything, wildly overdoing the idea of closure for every character in these comics. That big a loose end won’t be left loose.

Lots of brilliant expressions in this update, many subtle or overt, either way, helps convey the emotions of the scenes - especially Ruby's amazing incredulity, sass, and final blush.

I rather love the way Ruby deftly counters every point thrown at her (particularly her red-light district burn), as well as corrects everything that is misheard as something sleazy, without loosing a beat; the fact that Zii has to push porn in front of Ruby's face kind of shows how feeble their arguments were, granted, also showing that Ruby is perhaps methinks protesting too much. Originally, she did stumble a lot, but as she has grown more comfortable in small social settings, Ruby has become more adaptable to the weirdness and hysteria of the others, thus she may become the hero who is immune to the overwhelming idiocy of them!
