Guess Tess hadn't heard the news until now. It also seems like GiGi isn't pleased with Lynn.

Well, I guess some off-screen development let Tess to claim her and Maura's mutual crush, although it seems as though both will be annoyed at each other for one another's recent conquests, albeit for different reasons. I rather enjoy Tess' final expression of utter perplexity. On a similar note, it seems as though the close friends drifted apart just so these developments could happen, which feels a little, maybe not contrived, but unsatisfying?
Anyway, this kind of feels like the side character wrestling arc getting wrapped up a bit abruptly, at least in comparison to the amount of time they've taken up; don't quite like certain situations that some individuals are apparently set in.
Since it is a closing of sorts, I wouldn't be surprised if the next we see them would just be on TV in the background. Conjecture aside, this ostensible ending is, to be blunt, somewhat anticlimactic.

I really hope the wrestling arc is wrapping up with this update. I want to know what's happening between Gary and Peggy. I also want to know what Ruby is up to and how her story ends. There are only 21 updates left but there are still quite a few hanging plot threads and I get the feeling that none of them will be wrapped up in a satisfying way.

That seems to be the MO for Pixie Trix. Start interesting stories full of fun characters. Have many plot threads going. Decide they need to finish the story soon and rush or skip the conclusions to those plots.
Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.

Yes, this feels a lot like a bit more minor character wrapping-up. Maura and Tess both achieve some things they want. I'm guessing we may not see much more of them from now on. If DiDi settles down to working with Roxie to develop as a wrestler long term, that kind of closes out the whole wrestling plot thing. (Hurrah.)

Anyway, Tess managed to accomplish her goal when she didn't have Maura around and getting underfoot. Damien didn't strike me as exactly a difficult target, to be sure.

Though curiously, Damien isn't tagged on this strip.

A promising and potentially very profitable little project just went south. Naturally she's irritated. She seems to be quite rational about it, though.

They were never major characters or part of any great drama. It's slightly hasty closure, but by no means the worst we've seen in Pixietrix comics.

I wouldn't be so sure, we will probably see her and Roxie at the indy shows and seeing their wrestling characters.

Oh, we may glimpse them from time to time. But what more will they be doing? DiDi has come back to take the time to develop her skills properly, and Roxie doesn't have any obvious plot aims or function other than to facilitate that.

I guess that we might get a "Ten Years After" mini-comic one day, in which those two have entered the WW3 on their own terms and are doing great. But for now, I think that the wrestling stories are over, or close enough.

I don't doubt we'll see more of their wrestling characters. Especially DiDi and her bodyguard persona.

It seems Maura hasn't been keeping her partner up to date. Or as up to date as she could have been. How do you think Tess is going to take the news she is a lesbian or at least bi? They have engaged in mutually sensual activity earlier, you think there might be a little jealousy from Tess? :ympray:

These two seem to be fairly goofy in their dealings with each other, but are just too good friends for any problems to last. There’ll probably be a few minutes of “You’re a lesbian? But we had showers together!” “You banged Damien? You knew I wanted him!” “But why didn’t you tell me?” “Why didn’t YOU tell ME?” Followed by some perfunctory physical assaults, ten seconds of sulking, and then tearful mutual promises never to fall out again, because they’re besties despite everything.

And if GiGi and Lynn are lucky, all of this will happen live on stage in front of a paying audience.

Shucks. I was hoping for a Force choke... or a suffocation boob smother for Lynn by Gigi for failing her. Dreams dashed. Just kidding. She's handling it well enough.

Echoing everyone else, barring a desperate need to explain what Tess & Maura are up to (and indeed Didi & Roxie's wrestling training) the wrestling arc seems closed enough to move on to other characters and their issues. We can imagine Roxie calling Tess & Maura traitors or sell-outs. We can imagine Didi & Roxie becoming fair enough friends and partners in the ring. Their endings have much less speculation in them than how we were left with Gary & Peggy. In fact, these 'endings' seem about as interesting (or fulfilling?) as Yuki & Matt's realization just prior to Gary exiting their abode.

So Zii next? Or perhaps a tie-in with Sticky Dilly Buns? Angel and their band now including Sonya & Yuki, and how their drama impacts Ruby and the yaoi club? Or Peggy & Gary would be nice, although Zii has been left outside too long and needs some attention.

I call bullstuff on Gigi's reaction. There are plenty of people who would gladly take the spot that Didi declined, so many so that Gigi's plans are not in danger.
