So, in Canada, they don’t do that thing where they slice the wage down severely and expect the wait staff to live on tips. Canada wait staff makes $11/hr.

That, plus tips, plus the DiDi percentage, and I can actually believe this.

um, doing a little math... $11/hour is ~$22k/year. So, Didi scrapes up $100k/year in tips. Say she works 50 weeks a year, 5 days a week, that means she's pulling about $400/day in tips. I guess her restaurant must be in a very trendy place, possibly a business or banking district downtown. So, yeah, this is not TOO far outside the realm of possibility.

There must be a LOT of horny people hoping to get lucky with Chastel if they slip her some extra cash...

Still, she really did make an admirable decision this time.
I wonder how long it'll be before Lynn comes around and tries to change her mind.

Waiters are taxed on 15% tips. So if you tip lower than that, you can end up costing them money.
