And of course, DiDi ends up *winning* no matter what. Aha.
It was good that Roxie actually calmed down and seemed to be willing to become a real friend, although DiDi's last careless remark - despite it not being close to her worst - may cause Roxie to push back yet again.
Excellent strength in the art, especially panel 2, which almost makes me believe that DiDi has convictions and a sense of decency; naturally, her personality and the final panel reinforce the notion she is still shallow, but it's a credit to the art that it moved me, someone with a fairly strong anti-DiDi perspective.

Ya know what? That punchline landed perfectly. Didi, never change; never change a thing.

Okay, that was a joke - but one does wonder what she does with that money, given that she's still living in a shared apartment with few expensive vices. I have this feeling it all just goes into her current (cheque) account and just sits there. She could still use a financial adviser.

Hmm. This feels like a scene ending. Wonder where we'll go on Thursday?

So, in Canada, they don’t do that thing where they slice the wage down severely and expect the wait staff to live on tips. Canada wait staff makes $11/hr.

That, plus tips, plus the DiDi percentage, and I can actually believe this.

$11 per hour for 2000 working hours a year is $22000. The remainder is ~$100000, for $50 in tips per hour. If she waits five tables each hour, that's $10 each table.

Not terribly unreasonable, so long as she's busy all the time and gets only big tables. With Didi that's certainly possible.

Also, Roxie looks cute when she blushes.

I bet Didi gets sometimes $200 tips on a $50 meal.

I also bet that Didi's base salary is more than $11/hour.

Even if DiDi is exaggerating it’s still a good punchline.
