um, doing a little math... $11/hour is ~$22k/year. So, Didi scrapes up $100k/year in tips. Say she works 50 weeks a year, 5 days a week, that means she's pulling about $400/day in tips. I guess her restaurant must be in a very trendy place, possibly a business or banking district downtown. Waiters are taxed on 15% tips. So if you tip lower than that, you can end up costing them money.
