Re: 02-08-18 That sounds like you
As usual, Peggy is the most reasonable and also (by aggregate intelligence) the brightest person in the MA3verse by a mile. A sudden revelation that would have led to all sorts of unnecessary drama and heartache with most of the rest of the cast is barely a blip on the radar with her at the helm.
To be fair, Gary's also done a lot of growing up in a very short time, and some respect also goes to him for owning up when he really didn't have to. Seriously, this is the best and most functional pairing overall to date, even if they are just "friends with benefits."
What worries me is that I still think the comic is going to steer Gary toward Zii in the end, and I just ... don't see that one so much anymore. While he hasn't reached Peggy's level yet, it seems to me that Gary is maturing and has by now far outgrown Zii, who as far as I can tell has yet to develop as a character even a little bit. In other words (and I can't believe I'm saying this), at this point, I think Gary is too good for Zii.
I still can't believe I typed that sentence.

Very true. But there’s also the little *ah* gasps punctuating the conversation, which makes this feel like realistic good sex. It’s perfectly possible to talk while screwing, but yes, one gets all kind of breathing effects and momentary distractions along the way. Ma3 is sometimes a bit too focused on the perfection of the zipless fuck, or the mandatory comedy, to reflect that.

Whoa. She's being sensible, and has consistent views on how she sees the world and lives her life. Is she allowed to do that? Like even for Peggy I thought that was a no go for MA3.
Very intimate, love the over all feeling of this strip.

Almost as if they were real people and not just pen and ink pictures.

After 1461 strips, I finally have a favourite. The gazes they exchange are the sweetest, especially Peggy in the last one despite it being the gag panel. She sure appreciates seeing herself giving her man some satisfaction (or at least someone she happily and openly cares about)

The bottom of the last panel is so anime. I just love it when styles cross-pollinate.

I'm so glad to see this went the way I thought it would, because I couldn't see Peggy freaking out, and at most, getting a little angry, but she didn't even do that, she was reasonable and heard him out while giving him extra loving.

Re: 02-08-18 That sounds like you
This installment reminds me of an old joke.
Adam is lounging around in Eden; Eve hasn't been created yet, so he's just chilling.
Suddenly, an angel with a worried expression appears before him and asks if he can have a moment of his time. Adam says sure.
The angel explains he and some of the boys got to help the Boss on the assembly line that put Adam together. Now they've run the numbers again … and the angel has some good news and some bad news.
In his innocence, Adam asks what the good news is, first.
The angel replies: "You have been given both a big brain, and genitalia."
Adam thinks that sounds alright, so he asks what the bad news is.
"We didn't put enough blood in you to use them both at the same time."

I was reminded more of the classic Scary-Go-Round strip in which The Boy’s IQ is reduced from 148 to “neg”.

Glad you found it, Spidrift. I’m on vacation and couldn’t look it up in a timely fashion, but that was also my exact thought.
In the “great expressions in webcomics” moments, you have Esther’s face in panel 2 of that strip, and then panel 6 of the next one.

Just because of how Zii looked when she chose DiDi, I still don't think he will end up with Peggy.

That reminds me of a Robin Williams standup on Broadway where he had a whole bit about Viagra, at one point he said "Then you realize God gave you a penis and a brain, and only enough blood to run one at a time... You have lost memories from your childhood"Error of Logic wrote: ↑Thu Aug 02, 2018 8:45 pmThis installment reminds me of an old joke.

Re: 02-08-18 That sounds like you
I can, 'cause it's true. You're right that as a character, Zii seems no further along than she was when we first met her. I don't know that 'too good' is exactly the word I'd use, but 'too mature'? Definetly. And yes, it does seem strange to type that about Gary, but it's true nonetheless. I thought it was shown nicely when comparing him to Yuki and Matt, who both think they've grown but have done so minimally at best.KittyHat wrote: ↑Thu Aug 02, 2018 4:26 pmTo be fair, Gary's also done a lot of growing up in a very short time, and some respect also goes to him for owning up when he really didn't have to. Of course, her latest setbacks may get Zii to grow up a little, too, too, but it hasn't happened yet.

She’s further along in that she’s actually admitted that she has a problem. How much she’s done to fix it is perhaps debatable.
