I actually prefer it to carefully editing my writing and using Angel’s name for lack of a pronoun.

I think it's a silly soundiung word and they need to find a new one (any other languages have one we can steal...borrow?)
and as for me, I cant feel bad for Angel, zie's a dick/cunt to everyone

Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.

Angel tends to remind me of some of the histrionic people on this board and I don't think zie is that terrible. Zi slept with Jerzy so zi has a legitimate grudge there and with Dillon it started out as rivalry that got worse. Moreover, I never really liked Dillon. I started reading Sticky Dilly Buns because Amber was in it and kept reading because of Ruby. As such Angel is a needed nemesis for Dillon. However, I won't excuse Angel for how zie treated Terry. That was mean.

Oh God the Great Pronoun Wars have cone to these boards.
Congratulations. In print, “Zii” and “zie” are distinguishable — but you’ve overcome that little barrier to ambiguity, and saved two letters!

Except Dillon said he "dug up" the pronoun for Angel because he "couldn't keep track" of when it was appropriate to use he/him as opposed to she/her. The usage of the phrase "dug up" strongly suggests that it's Dillon's preference for Angel, not necessarily Angel's for themselves.

Oh, thank God - I'm not the only one.
Seriously - I never understood the need for excessive pronouns when 'they/them' work just fine.

I'm so happy to see more Ruby, she is a god send.
I don't find most of the characters in these comics super likable so I've really been missing her!
As for Angel and Jerzy cheating, it did seem like Angel was emotionally cheating by saying they were interested in the other dude. And then got swept up and kissed the dude.
And then Jerzy got swept up and banged dillon.
.... Both are culpable but I do feel like their relationship was based on Angel constantly trying to split up whoever Jerzy was with at the time, overstepping the bounds of friendship and purposely making his current partner jealous. Not exactly a healthy dynamic for a second chance at a relationship. And then of course Jerzy not seeing that Angel is doing this and not setting appropriate boundaries with his at that time ex. And then Dillon obviously has issues with cheating after matt and is a jealous boy who hates Angel.... Was a recipe for disaster either way you look at it.
.... Though I really dislike Dillon, Jerzy and Angel so that may be an overly negative reading.
(clever bit of word play by the way, I've only ever seen people used xe as an alternative to they.)

Heck, I relate to Ruby (barring the yaoi love, aha) more than any other character in the series; the cast were practically aliens to me, which is how she reacted at first, too. She may ultimately change, but until then, she feels like the most grounded character, other than Peggy (though, the latter has enough quirks to make her just about on par with everyone else).Spidrift wrote: ↑Thu Jun 28, 2018 12:26 pmYep, this is why some of us loved Ruby. Inexperienced and can't deny it, but modern enough to use Google to fill the gaps in her knowledge (making her, in many ways that most old-fashioned personality in the setting, ironically the only one with a plausible 21st century relationship with the Internet). Possesses a working moral sense, but tries to get things right before cutting loose. My kind of people.

Oh, and we get a demonstration of typical Ma3 thinking here from Dillon. Two Days indeed...
And the "two days" things, well, relatively speaking, it is admirable in Ma3, as most prominent characters cannot seem to manage two hours or even minutes, let alone days.
I'm almost certain the pronoun thing is simply the 21st Century equivalent of an Abbott & Costello routine - "Who's/Hu's on first?" ~ "Who is Zii/zie?"

Heh, reminds me how the Pronoun Wars recently came to Magic_ The Gathering when they decided to change "he or she"/"his or her" to "they/their"... Great was the outrage...
And, hoh boy. No sex for two days - and you go and cheat??? I know these comics like to use exagerration, but seriously! Go and jerk off!

Yep, even in Earth Girls Are Easy (of which I'm reminded), the line was "two weeks!!".
