Chances are Jung is married and has a child.

And still living in his parents' basement. :D

At the very least, he may have a steady girlfriend.

I shouldn't need to google to enjoy the comic. Definitions in annotations would be lovely or just stop with the French speak.
Not going to happen. Both creators are native French speakers. The comic is supposedly(?) simul-posted in French... at least I think it is as Google is failing me at the moment... although I haven't checked to see if Didi still speaks in Franglish in that version so as to mess with the minds of the French Canadians.

I took 4 years of basic French in junior and high school, although I lost most of it taking a year of Spanish in college. It isn't that hard to find context clues in what Didi says and how she says it, and her speech pattern at this point is so ingrained in her idiom that it shouldn't be a surprise. Sorry it is challenging for you, but with over 1400 strips and Didi speaking in quite a few of them, your statement seem odd that you are finding distaste in it now. Either way, c'est la vie.

IIRC he is happily steady with Ramona from Sticky Dilly Buns. As far as the basement goes, I doubt it since he has his own business and offered Zii to use his back room for temporary lodging... not HIS back room/bedroom. And children? I'd bet a dozen donuts he doesn't have any yet.

Zii's best option here is to just let Didi leave, then change the lock on the door.
That would be awfully rude since she technically doesn't live there, after packing up her belongings and vacating her room. Peggy's room now. She's more like Didi's house guest, and a friend to Gary (the other and main tenant) to boot. Although should she and Gary shack up, I guess her boots will be next to his bed instead.

Mainly because now, Didi is plot-relevant. When she showed up initially and for a huge chunk of time she was just 'titty titty titty' so it didn't matter what she said. When she did use a specific French word it was super common like 'fromage' or 'orgasme'. With this comic I had no idea what she said. Well okay, that's an exaggeration but there was clearly a misunderstanding in the comic, that I still fully don't comprehend.

Not an Xkcd fan then.

Bit late for the latter. Otherwise, try guessing from context.

As for Kiley, I'm thinking the creators changed their minds about bringing her back during the final volume or they lied about bringing Kiley back (yes, all creators can and do lie and they lie a lot just to troll the fanbase).
In my experience, creators rarely lie, but they do frequently change their minds or get overtaken by circumstances after making over-optimistic promises. And some of us are still dreaming of those promised SDB wrap-up strips.

Zii needs to sit down and figure out what she wants, which is a world that doesn't include Sonya, Yuki, or Didi.
You appear to be confusing “want” with “need (in your opinion)”. (Zii’s tendency to act on wants without regard to needs, and the way that DiDi jams her want-o-meter on 11, is kinda the point of Ménage à Zombies, incidentally.) Anyhow, insofar as those three are trouble for Zii, they’re trouble because of quite similar stuff that she herself did. Removing the symptoms but not the cause is a classical error.
My money, as stated, is that she's much better off with Jung. When they first met, he insulted her and she punched him in the face. A classic start to a match made in heaven.
A very valid point, but sometimes, a punch in the face is just a punch in the face. Anyhow, if Zii chased after Jung, she’d have to deal with Ramona, and hence probably also with Angel and Ruby. Not an alliance I’d want on my enemies list.

Jung stated very early on in the comic’s history that he’s still living with his mother, because that way his (substantial) food bills get covered. We’ve had no evidence that that’s changed, though I guess that Ramona may be leaning on him to grow up a little. But anyway, the shop isn’t his own business; it’s been shown repeatedly that he reports to off-screen management.

Any children would have to be adopted. Ramona is clinically infertile.

S’funny; I think of “ouverte” as one of the dozen or so French words that anyone should pick up. But then, I’ve walked past a lot of shop doors in France.

But actually, the misunderstanding here is barely related to the use of Franglais. If DiDi had said “open” rather than “ouverte”, the strip would actually have worked exactly the same.

Didi is being painfully obtuse in this, since Zii even says that she means they need to be honest. I'm really, really hoping that the other characters don't gloss this over and play it off like it's no big deal. You don't get an open relationship pass by tricking the other person with a vaguely-worded statement, then saying "THANKS BYE GONNA GO BANG!" and running out the door before they can respond.

It's amusing that anyone is still buying this idea that Didi needs a strong emotional connection to get off, rather than someone who just understands the female body and maybe can make her relax. She knew Kiley for all of how long? She's had a heart to heart with Lynn and is getting squishy pants-feelings about her, of COURSE Lynn will be able to get her off, she can at least talk her along like Kiley did.

It’s possible that the other cast members have given up expecting better from DiDi. Or that the magic DiDi Effect makes everyone incapable of actually criticising her. (Except for women who DiDi directly challenges — and even they tend to be kind of muffled in their criticisms.)

People have learned to not shout into the storm, just batten down the hatches and wait for it to fuck off and be someone else's problem.

To me that translates to SDB wrapping up in three to six strips and Kiley only returning as a cameo in one of the bonus strips for the final volume book. That way, the creators can go "See? We kept our promises so no complaining."

I’m marginally more optimistic than that (though I do recall someone saying “Dillon will make a guest appearance in Ma3 soon” rather a long time ago), but I do think that they’ve manoeuvred themselves into one corner. Ruby’s and Dillon’s cliffhangers can be wrapped up, one way or another, at length or briefly, fairly easily — but the other hanging plot thread from SDB was Zii having dirt on Angel. The trouble is, the relationship between those two characters is now rather different, leaving that plot thread looking kind of doomed to be forgotten.

I dunno, Jung does have the cosplay thing, which means he can sew pretty good and create clothes from drawings. Which means he's perfect for creating "copycat" designer clothes. :-?

How much is Zii into couture?

seriously, is Didi autistic? because this is a rediculous degree of inability to understand someone.

I'm not against open relationships, but doesnt she get they have to be agreed to by your partner? An you dont run out in the middle of a heart toheart talk.
I was diagnosed with Aspergers years ago which now would be just referred to as "mild autism", and I've worked a job providing services to autistic students all over the spectrum for over 10 years now.

There are a lot of entries in the DSM that include the symptom of not being able to empathically connect to people, it's not just autism. I'm not legally qualified to make a diagnosis, but I'd honestly peg Didi more as a narcissist than an autist (not that the two are mutually exclusive). I don't think she's really capable of loving anyone, even though she may convince herself and others that she does. In the end she seems to view all other people as a means to her ends.

If she were autistic she would likely be more hesitant to how she'd react to anything more than jumping into conclusions, because they dont want to hurt peoples feelings.
Also autistics are usually pretty smart, this isnt really that case as we've had plenty of evidence of... :)) /:)
