Chances are Jung is married and has a child.
And still living in his parents' basement.

Not going to happen. Both creators are native French speakers. The comic is supposedly(?) simul-posted in French... at least I think it is as Google is failing me at the moment... although I haven't checked to see if Didi still speaks in Franglish in that version so as to mess with the minds of the French Canadians.
IIRC he is happily steady with Ramona from Sticky Dilly Buns. As far as the basement goes, I doubt it since he has his own business and offered Zii to use his back room for temporary lodging... not HIS back room/bedroom. And children? I'd bet a dozen donuts he doesn't have any yet.
That would be awfully rude since she technically doesn't live there, after packing up her belongings and vacating her room. Peggy's room now. She's more like Didi's house guest, and a friend to Gary (the other and main tenant) to boot. Although should she and Gary shack up, I guess her boots will be next to his bed instead.Continuity wrote: ↑Sun Apr 22, 2018 2:01 amZii's best option here is to just let Didi leave, then change the lock on the door.
Mainly because now, Didi is plot-relevant. When she showed up initially and for a huge chunk of time she was just 'titty titty titty' so it didn't matter what she said. When she did use a specific French word it was super common like 'fromage' or 'orgasme'. With this comic I had no idea what she said. Well okay, that's an exaggeration but there was clearly a misunderstanding in the comic, that I still fully don't comprehend.worldshaking00 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 22, 2018 4:05 amNot going to happen. I took 4 years of basic French in junior and high school, although I lost most of it taking a year of Spanish in college. It isn't that hard to find context clues in what Didi says and how she says it, and her speech pattern at this point is so ingrained in her idiom that it shouldn't be a surprise. Sorry it is challenging for you, but with over 1400 strips and Didi speaking in quite a few of them, your statement seem odd that you are finding distaste in it now. Either way, c'est la vie.
Not an Xkcd fan then.
Bit late for the latter. Otherwise, try guessing from context.Definitions in annotations would be lovely or just stop with the French speak.
In my experience, creators rarely lie, but they do frequently change their minds or get overtaken by circumstances after making over-optimistic promises. And some of us are still dreaming of those promised SDB wrap-up strips.
You appear to be confusing “want” with “need (in your opinion)”. (Zii’s tendency to act on wants without regard to needs, and the way that DiDi jams her want-o-meter on 11, is kinda the point of Ménage à Zombies, incidentally.) Anyhow, insofar as those three are trouble for Zii, they’re trouble because of quite similar stuff that she herself did. Removing the symptoms but not the cause is a classical error.Continuity wrote: ↑Sun Apr 22, 2018 2:01 amZii needs to sit down and figure out what she wants, which is a world that doesn't include Sonya, Yuki, or Didi.
A very valid point, but sometimes, a punch in the face is just a punch in the face. Anyhow, if Zii chased after Jung, she’d have to deal with Ramona, and hence probably also with Angel and Ruby. Not an alliance I’d want on my enemies list.My money, as stated, is that she's much better off with Jung. When they first met, he insulted her and she punched him in the face. A classic start to a match made in heaven.
Jung stated very early on in the comic’s history that he’s still living with his mother, because that way his (substantial) food bills get covered. We’ve had no evidence that that’s changed, though I guess that Ramona may be leaning on him to grow up a little. But anyway, the shop isn’t his own business; it’s been shown repeatedly that he reports to off-screen management.worldshaking00 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 22, 2018 4:05 amIIRC he is happily steady with Ramona from Sticky Dilly Buns. S’funny; I think of “ouverte” as one of the dozen or so French words that anyone should pick up. But then, I’ve walked past a lot of shop doors in France.BioYuGi wrote: ↑Sun Apr 22, 2018 4:54 amWhen she did use a specific French word it was super common like 'fromage' or 'orgasme'. To me that translates to SDB wrapping up in three to six strips and Kiley only returning as a cameo in one of the bonus strips for the final volume book. That way, the creators can go "See? We kept our promises so no complaining."
I was diagnosed with Aspergers years ago which now would be just referred to as "mild autism", and I've worked a job providing services to autistic students all over the spectrum for over 10 years now.vampire hunter D wrote: ↑Sat Apr 21, 2018 10:28 amseriously, is Didi autistic? because this is a rediculous degree of inability to understand someone.
I'm not against open relationships, but doesnt she get they have to be agreed to by your partner? An you dont run out in the middle of a heart toheart talk.
If she were autistic she would likely be more hesitant to how she'd react to anything more than jumping into conclusions, because they dont want to hurt peoples feelings.vampire hunter D wrote: ↑Sat Apr 21, 2018 10:28 amseriously, is Didi autistic? because this is a rediculous degree of inability to understand someone.
