Is it wrong that I'm reading this and wondering if Zii and Didi being locked into an unhappy relationship is a fitting ending for them?

And then so does DiDi, but somehow, I doubt that will ever happen.
I confess that, if the writers go for some kind of neat and morally satisfying conclusion for all the main cast, I’ll be curious how they handle it with DiDi. I mean, the cast aren’t exactly intellectual titans, but most of them — Gary, Zii, Matt, Yuki, and such — have been written as having a tiny bit of self-awareness and empathy. If they Learn Their Lessons and make serious efforts to Be Better People, and end up with happy endings at least somewhat earned, it needn’t be too far out of character. DiDi, though, just stops thinking when she sees a direct route to her desires. I just can’t imagine her on any kind of plausible pathway to maturity.

I’m guessing she’ll just have to find a DiDi-shaped niche in the wrestling world, keeping fans entertained, slaking Lynn’s lusts, and enjoying the fan adulation. Not a moral conclusion, but at least a place where she fits and doesn’t do too much harm. Assuming that the plan is to tie everything up with a neat bow on the top, of course.
I am 75% positive that Didi's conclusion will be her signing with the WW3 and getting into an open relationship with Lynn (and/or Dio if the Didi effect strikes again)...
If the comic had more time, I'd be more apt to think she'll wind up with Roxy

Roxy seems to value people for their personalities. Lynn actually seems happy to go purely by physical attraction.

Thus, Lynn's planted idea has grown fruit! Not that it was a strong mind, yet still impressive she managed to Inception'd DiDi. Guess it will be a week or two until we find out whether Gary continued his stalking, and whether Peggy and Bianca hook up.

Zii's self-pity party is rather irksome; from her expressions and hyperbole, it seems as though she is acquiescing to her failed relationships as an inevitability due to factors outside of her control. Or if she is recognising them as failing due to her own actions, then her self-pity is still obnoxious as she never tries to learn from mistakes, rather... well, she pulls a Gary by becoming inactive instead of trying to prevent a repeated failure/unwanted scenario.

It is interesting that Zii did not list Sonya as one of the failed relationships - there were others that happened via flashback or mention, but Erik, Yuki, and Sonya were shown to be dating Zii on panel (granted, Yuki was in flashback first, then a brief reunion). It reinforces the sense that Zii is quite a callous or at least apathetic as she didn't think to mention one of her more "dramatic" relationships; during it, she did try to dance the line as "friends with benefits," but they were clearly lovers.

Anyway, I wonder how DiDi will try to propose the open relationship idea? She is clumsy with words (action, too, but I digress), so I doubt she would be able to sell the idea smoothly, as well as handle the fallout from Zii if she finds out Lynn had already been courting DiDi... I'm surprised that I'm interested in what happens next since both Zii and DiDi are unrepentantly selfish and their "relationship" is/was merely a hedonistic farce - in spite of my dislike of them, I'm curious, so kudos, writers. Aha

Zii and Sonya never dated. They had sex, and sonya was infatuated with Zii, but they were never a couple.

So, Didi heard the words she wanted to hear and will just assume that's what Zii wants, and without asking Zii, with cheat on her :p

My only thought is, "Will Zii forgive the slip up or leave her then and there."

That implies that Didi will end their dialogue, which granted, isn't out of character for anyone in the Ma3 universe to leap to conclusions or make an assumption then act on that impulse.

I hope she at least continues with a few more sentences trying to get to the heart of Zii's matter. I'm settling for quick impactful sentences - 4-panel comic and all that jazz - since a real conversation of such magnitude shouldn't be so brief. And it isn't like Didi can't string words together (even if it is in Franglish). She understands the need for dialogue courtesy of Lynn's direction; she's just not that good at it, especially when her precious orgasms are at stake.

I hope that Zii is the one that actually breaks if off with Didi, rather than some 'open relationship'-thing begins. Zii's soul searching, optimistically combined with Gary commenting that Zii & Didi don't really have a relationship either, could lead to that conclusion.

Also I forgot to mention, hello Lita!

Well, Zii’s problem was that she could really believe that. And sure, I can only recall one occasion when they went on what could clearly be called a date, and that was their first evening together. But on top of the sex, the hanging out, the shared interests, and the quasi-romantic passion, there was the living together — which is, y’know, traditionally considered to be one stage beyond dating.

But that’s a big problem for much of the Ma3 cast, much of the time; terminology and modern ethics haven’t caught up with the realities of modern life, let alone life for a bunch of nookie-crazed sex comedy protagonists. Did Sonya and Yuki ever “date”? Did Matt and Kiley? They all hang on desperately to this little bit of 1950s teenage jargon, saying that if you “date” you’re in a “relationship”, and if you don’t you aren’t, while shagging like bunnies, shacking up, and getting into huge emotional messes. They really need some kind of whole new paradigm for this stuff — but none of them have the smarts to build one or the charisma to get such an invention accepted.

I know I'm a bad person, but I just had to share this...

When DiDi says "les relations," it struck me that whether she pronounced it "Lez relations" or "lay relations," it still fits.

Hell, even "less relations" works in this context.

Well here it is. Our principal leads have both hit a wall with their current partners when they realized they want different things. They want something serious. Something with meaning... and that's apparently not just an option. Time for a lesbian porn pity party?
