Is it wrong that I'm reading this and wondering if Zii and Didi being locked into an unhappy relationship is a fitting ending for them?

If the comic had more time, I'd be more apt to think she'll wind up with Roxyrogermart wrote: ↑Thu Apr 19, 2018 7:54 pmI am 75% positive that Didi's conclusion will be her signing with the WW3 and getting into an open relationship with Lynn (and/or Dio if the Didi effect strikes again)...Spidrift wrote: ↑Thu Apr 19, 2018 3:32 pmI confess that, if the writers go for some kind of neat and morally satisfying conclusion for all the main cast, I’ll be curious how they handle it with DiDi. I mean, the cast aren’t exactly intellectual titans, but most of them — Gary, Zii, Matt, Yuki, and such — have been written as having a tiny bit of self-awareness and empathy. If they Learn Their Lessons and make serious efforts to Be Better People, and end up with happy endings at least somewhat earned, it needn’t be too far out of character. DiDi, though, just stops thinking when she sees a direct route to her desires. I just can’t imagine her on any kind of plausible pathway to maturity.
I’m guessing she’ll just have to find a DiDi-shaped niche in the wrestling world, keeping fans entertained, slaking Lynn’s lusts, and enjoying the fan adulation. Not a moral conclusion, but at least a place where she fits and doesn’t do too much harm. Assuming that the plan is to tie everything up with a neat bow on the top, of course.

Zii's self-pity party is rather irksome; from her expressions and hyperbole, it seems as though she is acquiescing to her failed relationships as an inevitability due to factors outside of her control. Or if she is recognising them as failing due to her own actions, then her self-pity is still obnoxious as she never tries to learn from mistakes, rather... well, she pulls a Gary by becoming inactive instead of trying to prevent a repeated failure/unwanted scenario.
It is interesting that Zii did not list Sonya as one of the failed relationships - there were others that happened via flashback or mention, but Erik, Yuki, and Sonya were shown to be dating Zii on panel (granted, Yuki was in flashback first, then a brief reunion). It reinforces the sense that Zii is quite a callous or at least apathetic as she didn't think to mention one of her more "dramatic" relationships; during it, she did try to dance the line as "friends with benefits," but they were clearly lovers.
Anyway, I wonder how DiDi will try to propose the open relationship idea? She is clumsy with words (action, too, but I digress), so I doubt she would be able to sell the idea smoothly, as well as handle the fallout from Zii if she finds out Lynn had already been courting DiDi... I'm surprised that I'm interested in what happens next since both Zii and DiDi are unrepentantly selfish and their "relationship" is/was merely a hedonistic farce - in spite of my dislike of them, I'm curious, so kudos, writers. Aha
Well, Zii’s problem was that she could really believe that. And sure, I can only recall one occasion when they went on what could clearly be called a date, and that was their first evening together. But on top of the sex, the hanging out, the shared interests, and the quasi-romantic passion, there was the living together — which is, y’know, traditionally considered to be one stage beyond dating.Dragon Paladin wrote: ↑Fri Apr 20, 2018 1:57 amZii and Sonya never dated. They had sex, and sonya was infatuated with Zii, but they were never a couple.
