Sorry if this post ends up a bit of a mess; not entirely familiar with the forum software here

Funny you guys should say those things, because I was just thinking about how much I prefer this strip, despite it not catering to my interests much and not being this comic's best work by any means, and how much I didn't give a monkey's bum about what's going on in SotR in the last couple of strips. Irony! What can I say, not everyone dislikes DiDi vehemently.

It’s not actually about disliking DiDi. It’s not entirely about disliking the wrestling stuff, though that’s nearer to the mark. I was actually somewhat interested in the traces of character development for DiDi, which, yep, look like they might even be working towards some kind of semi-satisfactory closure for her. But any movement on that front is clearly likely to be interrupted at any moment by a boob gag or a wrestling reference — and that’s what we got today. It’s hard to enjoy an actual plot when the incidentals and jokes surrounding it are so uninteresting to oneself. (Of course, if DiDi was less annoying, it might be easier, but whatevs.)
SotR is frequently silly and is overloaded with too many characters and dangerously similar plots. But the jokes are at least a little bit fresh, the sexy stuff is quite sexy, and the characters aren’t actively annoying. Reading that reminds me how Ma3 can be when it’s good.

On another note, my assertion that Lynn is a predator seems to be strongly reinforced here,
Not really. If anything, it seems like you don't know what that term means. Especially since Lynn is being straightforward here.
Lynn is isn't a sexual predator, she's a player at best. That's the term you're looking for.
These three comments make me reflect fondly on my time lurking the boards
because it is interesting to see how different thoughts and feelings on the various series are
have personally really liked Lynn as a character so far
for being a straight-forward and relatively level-headed character as opposed to a wrestling bimbo
and have appreciated her openness in discussing her feelings on sexuality and open relationships with Didi
there are 'issues' that could be presented with her pursuing someone 'in a relationship' but respectful, responsible polyamory is something that this comic has not explored particularly well
mostly serial monogamy with wacky incidences as catalyst for partner swaps to explore different storylines
if holding personal objection to the current storyline, it is that Lynn is coming on pretty heavy to Didi who still has not spoken to her partner about pursuing an open relationship
but she may be operating with a different perception than the reality -- am not clear if she is aware that Didi did not actually speak to Zii, but only overheard her
she's not pressuring Didi into things, but feel like there may be a situation coming in where Didi accepts Lynn's advances and Zii views it as cheating because Didi did not actually communicate with her
The wrestling arc has not bothered me much
the new characters are basically just showing how different types of women are in the industry
and Didi simply being involved in a hobby as 'visible' as Zii's potential career as a rocker
do not comprehend wrestling any more than playing music, but appreciate the exploring of different personalities
but personally have been viewing it through a lens similar to women's self-defense classes
and encountering women of Didi's stature when studying Tai Chi
and how concerns about assault and physical protection impact women from all walks of life
tho, Montréal culture may be skewed in that direction due to the Polytechnique tragedy
in contrast, have been mildly uncomfortable with the recent SotR storyline
my personal feelings on VR complicate things -- have been into VR since getting an Oculus Developer Kit prior to the consumer release
and exploring the ways that VR impacts the mind
in concrete ways -- the reality feels so convincing that people get a sort of motion sickness from moving in VR while their body knows they are not physically moving through space
as well as in psychological ways
kind of been seeing the past few SotR as similar to Alex being loaded up on a substance and manipulated by a predator
have been more comfortable with him getting the headset off -- but the whole factor of manipulating him through VR as a psychological medium to get him into vulnerable positions
has not been the most enjoyable comedic ride these comics have given
but when posting, sometimes worry about influencing the comic and mostly just want to see where it goes
personally just appreciate the content we are being given
and appreciate you all for expressing interesting points of view and giving me things to ponder beyond the comic
