So, does anyone think that Didi has developed powers of empathy due to apparently being in the same situation as Gary was when he was with her? Me neither.
I agree with you, that I don't think that Didi has developed any mixed emotions (or jaw cramping) due to eating Zii out, yet. Although it is worth talking about.

One has to remember that Didi's previous lovers, with few exceptions (Matt namely, and Gary recently), did not have a lot of stamina. They were unable to satisfy Didi (due to her psych. issue), but they themselves were able to triumphantly climax while they rode the Didi train. {Well, the last part I assume was true in Matt's case barring hallucinations of Gary or hot sauce incidents or errant groin kicks, otherwise I am unsure if he would have wanted to keep trying with her.} Lovemaking for Didi was a struggle for her but never for her partner. She is certainly very giving to those she likes (e.g. pancakes, delicious dinners, and dessert cakes for instance). I can see her 'putting out' and suffering with some TMJ discomfort as a way of showing her love to Zii. She certainly wasn't shy with bedding her previous male lovers. I guess we'll have to see if she complains about missing the feeling of a man's Star Power, or if she doesn't find that much satisfaction in oral sex with a woman, or if she brings some of the blended orgasm toys to Zii's bed.

I have to wonder: how long have those two been at it? If Didi is complaining about giving her oral sex, does Didi just not realize how much time has truly transpired? Is Zii taking a while to orgasm, due to emotional conflict or stress or Didi's lack of skill? I mean, she obviously doesn't have a watch to look at down Zii's nethers-way {market for belly-ring LED clocks?} TBH, I expect Zii has came at least once and she's greedily accepting Didi's oral skills... at least until Sonya comes back home.

2.) I hate to say this, but... I think I legitimately dislike Didi as a character at this point. We have moved beyond the point of it just being her being oblivious. We are now at the point where she just comes across as an all around bad person. At least in my perspective, I am well aware she still has her own die-hard fans who will believe she is misunderstood until she starts killing bunnies for orgasms. >_>
The only thing that bothers me is Didi knowing how the emotional thing works. Which raises the question of why she denied zii in the first place and why she had gary go down on her for hours if she knew it wouldn't work.

In Matt's case I don't recall him failing. They constantly got interrupted and he kept getting injured before Didi broke up with him. Everything seemed to go wrong when they tried to do it.

I think Didi really is more heterosexual than lesbian, remembered the rumors of Gary's SGR, and went to go seduce Gary. The absurdly comical amount of time of their lovemaking should have clued Didi into knowing she wasn't emotionally attached to Gary and she should/could have stopped. It was Didi's addiction to orgasm that made Zii so upset. I think if it was just a 'regular' amount of sex Didi would have ended having sex with Gary, then the light bulb might have went off and the Didi would have sought out Zii. Personally, I don't think Zii would have been able to get Didi off then because Didi hadn't established her emotional bond to Zii at that time.

Didi's remembering of the times the two of them shared is the (weak) psychological stimulus she is latching onto in order to feel comfortable enough to reach climax.

As far as Matt goes, he is at least equal to Gary in the stamina department. I don't recall Didi having any particular 'good' encounter with Matt that would have qualified her to relax enough around him to have had an orgasm. Certainly she was feeling good by both of the guys' performance, but not enough to plateau. She certainly wanted an orgasm badly enough after Matt's month-long hiatus after getting his junk kicked in by Yuki. See 'Gary' for the same result.

She gave the drummer food poisoning.
She mentioned that happening in the past. (It's the Spinal Tap joke about drummers. It's mandatory.) But there was no suggestion that it broke up the band, whereas the story of the Yuki Incident is clear and canonical. Unfortunately, it was also a print volume bonus story, so some people haven't seen it, which seems to be causing a lot of confusion.

They kept having accidents and comedy disasters, and then when they finally got it together properly, first DiDi yelled out Gary's name, and then Matt started hallucinating Gary's face on her, which lead to him suffering erectile failure. So you could say that Matt failed, but there were an awful lot of contributory factors, and DiDi really didn't help.

But at this point the two people that have been able to give her an orgasm have been women.

Well, her identity is certainly in flux now. She was curious with Sandra, but did not know what to do. Peggy was a complete stranger and Didi wasn't even stimulated by Peggy's efforts. She's latched onto pleasant experiences/memories with Zii, and Kiley was giving her very supportive pillow talk. Perhaps she doesn't have any positive male experiences, since the men she's been around have just wanted to piledriver her. As I said before, she didn't have a lot of friends growing up... and even now. The emotional void is currently filled by women, hence she is now able to climax by these women.

Her gut reaction to getting dumped by Kiley was to go to Gary - a guy. Maybe that was social conditioning or blatant ignorance of Zii's pleading. With two female-given orgasms, maybe she will rethink her self-identity. Or maybe she will revisit old memories and see some happy memories with Gary, but then she'd have to unhitch from Zii's crotch at some point.

I'm still hoping that Didi is acting as a medium to get Zii and Gary together, and all three of them being the menage of the strip's title. It would make sense considering their importance in the cast. But I can be and most likely am wrong. Damn curveballs always get me.

DiDi's sexual drive is towards whatever she currently thinks is most likely to get her off. I'm not convinced that she's "basically" straight, or gay, or anywhere on the Kinsey scale; she's on a personal branch marked "DiDi". The sample size of people who've either given her orgasms or triggered substantial responses from her is too small for statistical significance, really.

i said this in another thread, but man i still ship zii and eric even though eric clearly got put on a bus eons ago. sonya seems too manipulative and unstable, didi is just gross at this point, where eric actually seemed to support zii as a total human being and not just a sexpert (which seems to be what sonya and didi want out of her)

Note Erik's speech to Jim about Zii. He was talking about her there as a fantasy sexpert.

As I've said, I'm sure that Izz is far too inept a musician actually to replace Zii. However, I guess that Zii hearing Izz filling in for her, or just learning that Izz did so, may be a jolt that makes Zii consider the situation she's got herself into. If being yelled at by Sonya isn't enough.

another consequence could be that Sonya kicks her out of the apartment. Since Peggy is currently staying at her old place - and wouldn't be able to move again right away, or even want to move - Zii will be back to Jung's back room or her van... Although, history has shown that she will probably luck her way into far more agreeable circumstances, but that is passed the short term repercussions I'm guessing about.
Wouldn't she just go back to her old place. She only left because of Gary and Didi and now she has Didi. Unless she pops some sudden concern about Gary's feelings.
Since when has she given a single fuck about anyone's feelings but herself?

She purposely busted up Sonya and Jake just to drop Sonya like a bad habit for the chance to jump DiDi.

She declared herself Gary's "Wing Girl" then screwed her way around town and didn't do anything to help Gary.

She lied about having a job to live in the apartment.

She most likely will throw the fact she got DiDi off in Gary's face the second they see him.

Zii certainly is selfish. She emulates cat-like mentality quite well. She has more stops along the karma train route too. Hell, she might even be racking up frequent rider miles. But then, there are several characters in the story that are as bad or worse than her. They are all caricatures of a type of human behavior, so I expect exaggeration. If this were more like real life there would be several STDs and unwanted pregnancies, not to mention jail visitation. To be honest, I spent several minutes trying to find an admirable quality that Zii has displayed, and came up empty due to the actual reason why she did said acts. Maybe someone else will take that ball and run with it.

I was hoping there would be more of Lita's attitude toward Gary rubbing off onto Zii's behavior. The fact (and inherent symbolism) of Lita (her pussy) not liking anyone but Zii, and then Gary, would be wasted if it wasn't revisited. Pets stereotypically are good judges of character, in comics.

I'm still hopeful that there will be a positive ending where everyone in the main cast is 'happy' together. However I am getting the vibe that we're in store for some shake-ups. Maybe my Spider-sense is on the fritz. Stay tuned true believers.

Zii is, yes, rather selfish at times, but her real problem is that she's unthinking. She's an improviser rather than a planner, she acts on impulse, and she is as likely to get herself and others into worse trouble as she is to fix problems.

All of which said, she's not generally mean. She's impulsively vengeful, but she doesn't seem to bear grudges, and her worst deliberate acts are more on the level of pranks rather than conscious cruelty. (The writers evidently want us to see her that way; note how they went back to the Vyndicator/Angele story, years later, just to emphasise that it'd had a happy ending for everyone.) She also has a conscience; she went back to apologise to Sonya after their first night together went sour, despite knowing that Sonya had been violently angry, and stuff like the Precious Overlord incident involved her trying to fix the consequences of her actions.

If I had to name her most noticeable good quality, it'd be loyalty to her friends (which, yes, is a very minor virtue that actually causes some people to do awful things in real life), combined with the ability to make friends easily. She did actually try to help Gary get laid, when she remembered, and she even tried to physically prevent DiDi from interfering between Gary and Kiley (which, given the size difference, involved some physical courage). Note also her first meeting with Ruby in SDB; she took the opportunity for a bit of teasing, of course, but she also managed to talk Ruby out of her hang-ups, and made it clear that she regarded an old acquaintance from years ago at home as someone it'd be interesting to hang out with and befriend.

Actually, a part of the long-term story of this comic has been the process of Zii just learning to grow the hell up. It's been a slow process, God knows, with a lot of three steps forward, two steps back; she's currently in backslide mode, and how well it'll be wrapped up in the one remaining volume may be a question. But I see her as someone who's slowly realising the potential to be a not-bad person, as well as the fun character she's always been.
