I wonder if Zii will come to a realization that she does in fact have some feelings for Gary.

Well, at least we now have some explanation for DiDi's attempt at emotional insight. Presumably, later in the day, she found out that Zii and Gary weren't a thing after all.

This joke/character bit has been coming round and round often enough that I assume it's going to be developed a bit further at some point.

Agreed. It is a weird laugh. Her face is saying 'nervous' mixed with a little incredulity; the speech bubble is closer to donkey braying.

OK. We definitely get confirmation that Brandy has moved on to "greener pastures" and that Didi is remorseful for her Gary-shagging... to Zii at least.

Is there a betting pool as to when Zii ends up doing it with Gary?

It is bound to happen. It is the circumstances behind it that will make it interesting for me, and whether Zii & Gary will work at keeping that relationship or if it would be just a one-night stand.

Or alternatively, they could just flash-forward to meeting at a cafe Fellini-like, wistfully and longingly reminiscing on what could have been had they realized their love instead of denying it. Giz could get some extra mileage out of those "what if Gary married..." strips! And since there's no "what if Zii married..." strips, I can only assume she's doomed to become the lonely neighborhood crazy cat lady. Or become the new Eulice of her time.

I never thought the household of 3 were gonna bang each other, at least not until the end of the comic, but now, seeing how things are going, my guess is that Zii and Gary are going to bang (and even date) towards the end of the comic...

Zii and Gary met first, she moved right away (because she was homeless, but it served as the starting point of their relationship) and even both interviewed Didi (since Gary was even more spineless then), he always thought of Zii as the coolest chick he ever met, when he was talking about who was his ideal chick to Peggy, he mentioned every other woman in a light way but with Zii he got blushed and he didn't wanted to say

So we know Gary is really hots for Zii (he was since the beginning but now he sees her as his top girl), and Zii has been developing interest in Gary, so now it's a matter of timing...

But - right now, she's getting over a very long-running relationship, possibly even the only serious relationship she's ever been in, that hasn't even ended entirely cleanly. In those circumstances, a bit of a break to clear her head, with some displacement activities, may actually be her healthiest option.

For the most part, I agree @Spidrift. It is certainly healthy for her to do so. I expect that Roxie is going to be in someone's cross hairs soon enough. To be blunt, she's been in the plot for long enough time that it is about time she gets intimate with one of the (more main) cast. Technically Izzy too, but if you type her name she appears. (dammit)

Tess, getting thigh crush-locked (maybe extra hard due to the distraction-pin and 'really' getting into her work?) by her, might disagree though.

I'll say go for it. I'm curious to see Garry and Zii relationship to turn into something more intimate.
